And btw,I allmost forgot to mention the invention of "Arabic" numerals as one of my favorites. The only thing we owe to the Arabs it numerals ! Latin numerals are not very convenient in the letter.

2nd world war, and taking over nazi germany.
I was not aware about the real issue, but when I got to know, I started hating nazi racial policies.
Though, they did support Indian war of independence, but, it were the britishers who left India, not that India got freedom due to their own might.
Also, I think, vietnam war is another one.
Besides, from subcontinent, I would rate liberation of east pakistan which is not Bangladesh today. Indian army helped them to achieve this freedom, actually.

While he did not use a symbol for zero, the French mathematician Georges Ifrah argues that knowledge of zero was implicit in Aryabhata's place-value system as a place holder for the powers of ten with null coefficients. that being said i would also like to add Alexanders march to the end of the world and the era of Hellenistic fusion, Hellenistic fusion being the major reason (the other is the silk road) why we are confused over origination of some ideas with reference to arabs indians andgreeks xD

I love the story of the Gordian Knot. But if I had to pick one event in terms of its positive effect on history, I would pick the Battle of Salamis.

mardukThe manuscript was unearthed from a field in 1881,[5] by a peasant in the village of Bakhshali, which is near Mardan, now in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.[2] The first research on the manuscript was done by A. F. R. Hoernlé.[2][6] After his death, it was examined by G. R. Kaye, who edited the work and published it as a book in 1927.[7] The extant manuscript is incomplete, consisting of seventy leaves of birch bark,[2][5] whose intended order is not known.[2] It is in the Bodleian Library at the University of Oxford[2][5] (MS. Sansk. d. 14), and is said to be too fragile to be examined by scholars. Definitely, khyber pakhtunwakhwa is an aryan place.
