Can't people learn to solve things by working together or through a mediator? Why do a war? Society technically teaches that this is not the way to solve problems. So...what's going on here?

War is necessary for human advancement. But doesn't war reduce the population and as a result pause advancement? Both world wars resulted in large increases in technology. The war caused a need to develop faster and therefore furthered human advancement. And although merely an ideological war, the Cold War got mankind on the moon, simply because we had a sense of urgency to do so. |

But it is also important to understand that this arms race may stop if both sides are so locked in a Stasis that producing the same patterns is more pratical then innovation. |

War as in, two factions or nations fighting is how new ideas emerge, how new civilisations emerge. I know that it isn't very that useful, but I like the Hegelian Dialectic simply because it shows that if two factions fight, a new result, a new idea, or rather, ideas, emerge. This is one of the theories of why Europe has dominated the world so long and made such advancements in technology. Because Europe was broken up into many different states that all hated each other and often warred with each other they had to be innovative to keep up with or surpass their rivals. |

But yeah with all that sniper, bomb, and gas cowardice, war loses the glory.
Not saying I want to ban guns. If there was a magic button to ban all guns I would, but there is no magic button. If guns were banned, then only criminals, soldiers, and police would have guns, which is bad.
Anyway, violence is good, death is bad. That is why Martial Arts is good. Fake cyber violence just does not cut it, has to be real. But death or serious injury is bad. If there was a way to have war, were people could respawn after they die, it would be glorious and brutal.
