What are you talking about? 90% of those names are Greek!
Thessalonike means the victory of thessalians and also it was the name of the sister of Alexander who became a mermaid. Thrace is from the greek word ΘΡΗΚΕΙΑ and gave the name to the greek world for religion ΘΡΗΣΚΕΙΑ because Orpheus was from Thrace and he is responsible for bringing the religion in Greece(according to mythology) Pella is the capital of Macedonia and it is a Greek name. Chalkidike is a Greek name and the root is CHALKOS or bronze Larissa is a Greek name Ioannina is a Greek name from the name Ioannis Magnesia is a Greek name from the word ΜΑΓΝΗΤΗΣ
And on and on....

Slavic alphabet is based on the Greek alphabet, and it was created by 2 Byzantine Greeks, Kyrrilos and Methodios.
So, if anything, slavic language has tons of Greek elements, and not the other way around.

Also there's no viable evidence the holy brothers were Greek or just Greekophone. Lastly, there is no such thing as "Byzantine". German made that out. The empire was Roman.

Also, it was named as Byzantium because of the ancient Greek city built by Byzantas there. Germans had nothing to do with it en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ByzantiumCyrrilic script is derived from the Greek uncial script letters en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyrillic_script#NameKyrrilos and Methodios were born in Thessaloniki, a very ancient Greek city. Their names are Greek. They spoke Greek. They were Greek. Everything else is slavopropaganda.

You got typical South Slavic Y DNA haplogroup, so you shouldn't hate on Slavs. There is a good chance Cyril and Methodius could be both Slavs. Sclavenians (South Slavs) 7th century AD: Concerning term "Byzantine" check who is Hieronymus Wolf.

I dont hate slavs. I consider all Europeans to be my brothers. But, there is nothing I hate more than usurping other cultures because you need some connection with past glories. Like nordicist or slavicist or in some rare occasions medicists. Stick with your east European cultures and dont try to usurp greek ones. Slavs in Greece, as an ethnic group, were barbaric invaders and they didnt add anything in greek culture. Greek culture added in theirs. Hieronymous copied the term, he didnt create it. Byzantine empire was named as such, because of the greek city Byzantium.

I'm not usurping anything, merely saying the truth. If you don't believe what I said you can verify it here. Its written that citizens were calling themselves Romans and its country Roman empire. To further verify the claim I checked this, when Serbian emperor declared himself "Tsar of Serbs and Romans". Of course, those people correlate with modern Greeks but its not my fault they considered themselves Romans.

The bottom line is this: Its common by Nordicist, and in lesser regard Slavicists to try to connect with the ancient cultures of the south, because they try to ease the fact that when the south europeans created one culture after the other, they were in a semi primitive state. And the methods they use are common. Like how in this thread, you posted a map which shows 90-95% Greek names in Greece and you claim those names as slavic, preying on the ignorance of the readers to read Greek. Thus, a meme or rumor is being created and spread all through internet.

What happened with Slavic population is they probably mixed with local Greek population and became Greek. Of course, some Slavs left Greece in early 20th century back to lands of ex-Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. It is not my belief that Greek population that predated 7th century was northern European in terms of anything. If anything, the people you mention probably sit in Hollywood or else Achiles and Alexander the Great wouldn't be blond

Where did you get this weird info. I was taught that two Brothers invented it. And firstly they made the other language than it was presented then, so the prototype had name 'slavic', whereas ours - "cyrillic". "Slavic" was used by Helga, Svyatoslav and others before Vladimir and Yaroslav. There was no complete 'making-of-language-from-nothing', old slavianic names and notions had laid into modified language. Most of names came from slavs gods, and the last ones had relations to Aryan. Influence of Greek was mostly to church language; that's why our known language of the ancient times - church-slavianic. Common people didn't use it, until they were taught to read church books, which were 'popular' in that times. So, we cannot say about 'someone-had-created' the language, but only that the one has transformed it, and at the same time, that using of the language hasn't been shared: there were not many translated books and common people still were using their proto-languages (bilingual phenomena which is still present in Ukraine in using Russian and Ukrainian at the same time).
