>mfw a Greek tells you that he beat you in a history debate >mfw(x2) a Greek sends you a Wikipedia link calling it a reasonable argument >Keep your hands away from OUR history and OUR ancestors, and we wont invade you. Woah woah woah, was that a threat? Take it easy dude, no one wants to steal your Turkish and Albanian ancestors, don't worry.

i fellows: In your discussions there seems to be a confusion between the ancient Greeks (or the history of the ancient Greeks) and the modern Greeks or their history). I wish to introduce a few remarks: The Aegean Greeks [Ionians, Attics, etc.)did not spring out of the soil of Aegean lands; they originated south of the Caucasian mountains, or the Levant, in the Middle East (as I have found on linguistic and other grounds). They migrated (together with agriculture) eastwards and westwards, and settled (and grew) in what we call Anatolia, Hellas, Thrace, etc. Migration is not a case of conquest of other peoples. The western part of the Peloponnese [Epiros] was eventually split into a region of Hellas and an independent Albania. Cyprus and Hellas were eventually subdued by the Turks, and Ionia was never recovered by the native Greeks. So, today's Helladic population has a Turkish component, and Macedonia has a Slavic component. (The modern languages of these countries are not pure classical Greek, or pure anything else.) Incidentally, Biblical Hebrew, such as it was spoken in "Palestine", is not a pure language either; it is a mixture of (local, not borrowed, or imposed) Greek and proto-Arabic or "Semitic"(the language of the desert People who formed the Canaanite nations). The proper names of gods and humans that occur in the Bible were already present in Canaanaite Ebla (in Syria) two thousand years earlier, as linguist Pettinato has recently determined. (The Eblaite language is largely Indo-European, as I have determined.)

(The Eblaite language is largely Indo-European, as I have determined.) Turks were an asiatic tribe. There is almost 0 asiatic admix in modern Greeks. There is a lot EEF and steppe admix in modern Turks along with a 15-20% asiatic admix from original Turks. So, logic suggests that the turkish admix in Greece is almost 0 while the Greek and native anatolian admix in Turkey is a lot. They didnt affect us, we did. www.google.gr/search?q=east+asian+admix+europe&client=ms-android-huawei&prmd=imnv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj5nIbIj4vbAhVOMewKHbP7DiwQ_AUIESgB&biw=360&bih=524#imgrc=oz4wGvTiOxZd0M:Again, you people are wrong...

Also, about Greek language:
Modern Greek is based on Katharevousa, which was based on medieval Greek which was based on Koine Greek which was based on classical Greek. The differences between modern Greek and classical Greek are minor compared to the modern/ancient differences in other languages. Medieval english and modern english are far more different than modern Greek and classical Greek.
I can easily read and speak the homeric dialect without much toil. And we have almost 3000 years apart from it. So, again, wrong...

Ok guys. Come on. It's not a big deal. Agree to disagree. The world won't suddenly come to an end with either one of you being right or wrong. You can still milk your cows and survive.

students of ethnic physiognomy should be able to count how many modern (Helladic/Aegean) Greeks descend from the ancient Greeks and from Turks, if it matters at all to make such investigations.
What happened to the main body of my post??? It just vanished.........
