I find the Empire interesting too.

Of course it's interesting! But the Ottomans in their time brought many misfortunes to their neighbors! Remember the Armenian Genocide of 1915?

In comparison to Byzantines they were pretty cruel, although the Byzantines themselves also had some extreme rulers.
