Yes, against Germany! Then we had a definitely clear who the enemy is and against whom to fight and to defend the homeland! In the 21st century the situation is quite different! I am Absolutely with my principles I would not like to participate in modern warfare !

I didn't, of course. But anyone here? Or maybe even been through a war in your country? Small skirmishes when I was a kid. Especially with brothers, cousins and friends.

I didn't, of course. But anyone here? Or maybe even been through a war in your country? I served with the 1st Ranger Battalion, US Army 75th Ranger Regiment, based at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia, USA; was selected for, and briefly served with 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1st SFOD-D), commonly referred to as Delta Force, Combat Applications Group (CAG). I've participated in 13 combat deployments: Iraq, Afghanistan, and others I cannot disclose (classified), over a career than spanned 20 years.

I participated in 'Operation Little Lost Sheep' the US Army Special Operations (spec ops) task force that freed the two Catholic nuns who were captured in Iraq. We all got the Silver Star for our participation.
