Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us in knowing good and evil" (Genesis 3:22). This statement in the Genesis account demonstrates the plurality, or Trinitarian nature of God. Notice the pronoun: “like one of Us”.
(The above I found on a Christian website)
Or is it that "Us" refers to God and his alter-ego Satan. God has mastery over the evil side of his nature and makes it his servant? Are we not just the same as God, having our evil side? But is it not true that many of us fail to control our evil side - which often controls us? Jesus was tempted by his evil side and overcame it?
Would this not explain the mixture of beauty and cruelty found throughout the natural world as well as our human world?

Quite true..he only pretends to be an angel of light(Lucifer )but he's not.. Satan can only be called 2 canonical words -satan- or -devil- . You know you’re agreeing with a devil worshipper, right? No alarms going off in your head there? You wrote bullshit again! facepalm I totally disagree with his opinion as much as I do with you..For him Lucifer is a deity..I'm telling satan is not Lucifer..because Satan does not carry light!

Yes but he can transform into an angel of light to deceive, that’s what 2 Corinthians 11:14 is saying To cheat...but that doesn't make it light...simply deception and illusion he makes..so to call the devil Lucifer(even then if that was his name before) is not true.

They seem to be one in the same, especially if Satan can transform himself back into an angel of light, Lucifer, as he once was even if it is only to deceive. The Lucifer in Isaiah is described as Satan, being prideful, wanting to be recognized as God, and as wanting to be the head of the congregation, but will end up in the lowest depths of hell. A true angel of light would not be described as such with hell as his destination.

As for the place from Isaiah's book, there's a lot of discussion about it..in any case, we must be sure that the game with the devil is bad and should be avoided! I do not find anything positive in him and I do not intend to.. Shrug

Lucifer does transform as an angel of light. It's a fact. Bible tells us not to even marvel about it because it's a plain fact and we need to be wiser knowing this now. Otherwise, people will be deceived and think he can't be an angel of light but he easily can as bible says.

And God and Jesus just want us to follow that example and conquer our evil sides. Sorry, you posted just before me, Diamond. What if man's original sin was not disobedience but a lack of integrity in taking something that did not belong to them? Eve putting her own wants ahead of what was right, and Adam following his wife without a second thought. The serpent being the evil side of Eve's mind. Second edit: Also Adam and Eve had to find out the hard way that God has an evil side. They had only known him to be kind and gentle and could not believe that he would actually carry out the death penalty for such a (to them) trivial offence. But God knows that we only learn by mistakes and he knew it would happen that way. God wants us to know him and to know ourselves and not to be fooled that he can do no wrong. So do you actually think it's an evil side to Eve's mind or God's mind? Both. Satan appears only twice in the OT. In the book of Job, Satan appears to be a separate entity to God. Yet it is God who challenges Satan to test Job, not vice versa. And Satan challenges God to stretch out his hand and cause ills to fall on Job. So who is doing the evil deed here - Satan or God? The Bible is very vague and perhaps pulling the wool over our eyes? Through fear throughout the past we have been unable to consider that God can be good and evil, and in the modern day the churches still insist that God cannot be evil. Who says that he cannot? God is supreme ruler and can be anything he likes. He can be despotic, treacherous, lying, devious - if he wants to. That is his right, like us he has free will. Fortunately, though, because of the Bible, we can understand his plan. Throughout the OT evil was used to defeat evil and we did not progress. Then along came Jesus who encouraged us to master our evil sides and do only good. His example has inspired many to do just that. But there are many who think they will get to heaven just by believing that he is God. That is not his message. His message is to conquer our evil nature. Slowly but surely we have been learning that by trial and error across the world. We need not fear God if we act with integrity and put what is right above ourselves. The time will come when there will be no need for God to use his evil side to punish man. We will have learned to control ourselves in any situation. The devil that is within all of us will be vanquished. We cannot kill the devil without killing ourselves in the process, so instead we banish him from our minds. He will be cast out, anguishing for the rest of eternity. And God will do the same with his own mind.

Satan was hurting Job the entire time. Then in the end God blessed Job and fixed everything.
