Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us in knowing good and evil" (Genesis 3:22). This statement in the Genesis account demonstrates the plurality, or Trinitarian nature of God. Notice the pronoun: “like one of Us”.
(The above I found on a Christian website)
Or is it that "Us" refers to God and his alter-ego Satan. God has mastery over the evil side of his nature and makes it his servant? Are we not just the same as God, having our evil side? But is it not true that many of us fail to control our evil side - which often controls us? Jesus was tempted by his evil side and overcame it?
Would this not explain the mixture of beauty and cruelty found throughout the natural world as well as our human world?

Our enemy then is Satan. But Jesus taught us to love our enemy. Is there something really important in this that we are failing to grasp?

Our enemy then is Satan. But Jesus taught us to love our enemy. Is there something really important in this that we are failing to grasp? Loving means to care about someone's well being. Like the Good Samaritan parable. If someone is in need of help then you offer it if there is something you can offer. Sometimes it's visiting orphans, praying for someone, wrapping a cut, helping a person with a broken leg walk, etc. It however doesn't imply to be deceived by someone. If they loved you back they wouldn't deceive you and if you love them you wouldn't try to deceive them either. When someone is lying and deceiving if we have love we must tell them to stop because it is hurting them. Lies can end many relationships and even cause murders/death.

Here is another scenario, our hero the Serpent in the Garden of Eden points out to Eve that God has lied to them and that they will surely not die that day if they eat of the fruit of knowledge, which they did and which they did not die. The Serpent in this sense brought us the Truth of our Freedom of Will and showed us the way to our own personal apotheosis. The Serpent here represents the divine force of Creation that is able to carry out the idea of Creation. The Serpent sinks down to man's level and awakens the power of Creation and the energy in man. Thus, man can reach the knowledge which was previously only accessible to God . . . and this would become Man's first Sin in the eyes of God. Nag Hammadi ‑from the Gospels of Nag Hammadi: Testimonial of Truth Testimonial of Truth (3:4‑5)"It reveals truth only when one reads it in reverse, recognizing that God is actually the villain, and the Serpent the holy one" "It is this God that commanded Adam not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge, which could open his eyes to the Truth. When Adam & Eve, enlightened by the feminine spiritual principle who appeared to her in the form of the Serpent and deified them." "God threw mankind into great distraction and into a life of toil, so that humankind might be occupied with worldly affairs, and might not have the opportunity of being devoted to the Holy Spirit" This belief will send one straight into the pits of hell. And the gospels of Nag Hammadi are apocryphal(obscure). They are not inspired therefore they should be tossed aside. These are otherwise known as the gnostic gospels. If it's not Christian then it's not 'inspired'? , wut?
