No, it wasn't silly. Evolution is created by C. Darwin who was a prominent scientist. Atheism is an ancient form of views on world. Actually, there are many types of atheistic views: a) atheism as a denying of God; b) atheism as a lack of knowledge of God (children don't know about God, that's why few Christian denominations don't baptize children); c) atheism as social behaviour to believers (they don't like believers); d) atheism as toy form (or masquerade) of Christianity (people claim that they believe in God, but they're lying). And we can find many other types.
So, atheism is not silly, but it depends on the type of it.

You know guys, you can read about the big bang theory and hear about it all you like. The real scientists who have created these theories are well aware of all of this :p
Also if you actually read Darwin's own writing you would understand his theory has been cherry picked, and altered:/

Some really think that 4 billion people (70%) of people alive today are not going to be redeemed/saved and will be judged harshly simply by being raised atheist, or some other religion in their area. Others are simply because they do not have textbooks, are enslaved, or are too poor to afford a good conditioned Bible, if they are even available. Some simply forget that Jesus is a Savior :/ smh They argue and talk about their works of salvation, grace is grace, and it is God's grace, it is not anything we do but the grace of God. Jesus even said many people scramble through the scripture thinking it is how to attain heaven, and then immediately explains that it is not. Like I imagine you guys when to Christian school. In every school I went to if you even brought up God or Jesus, the teacher would tell you that you not allowed to discuss that, or worse, people would laugh. So I highly disagree with them.. I mean it is quite easy, you either think 4 billion people alive today can not be saved. That would mean every single one of my friends irl and family. My response is like.. you're joking right? Seven out of ten people you walk by are gone forever according to that.

Hovind doesn’t even provide a basic understanding of evolution to begin with. He’s certainly not an authority figure on this subject. He debates against the straw man of atheists/evolution he himself invented. He is just using his cult followers lack of scientific understanding to confuse them into believing that what he says makes any sense. This video is also cherry picked/edited to make Hovind look good, but it really doesn’t matter because he still looks like a fool.
He says in the beginning referencing the big bang “There was nothing, and it exploded. What exploded?” There are many theories of what may have existed before the big bang. Multiple universe theory is one for example. There very well could have been something. Nanophysics has proven that something can come from nothing, so that's not outside the realm of possibility either.
Christians are the only ones who believe the universe came from nothing, physics certainly doesn't make that claim. The Bible itself explicitly states that God made the universe from nothing
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters" (Genesis 1:1-2).
So it's very ironic that Christian's use that argument against non-believers.
“If everything come from the big bang then why are some planets spinning in opposite direction?” Because the planets and moons did not come from the big bang. The big bang happened approximately 13.7 billion years ago and our solar system formed 4.6 billion years ago.
Also homosapiens did not evolve from monkey's as he has said numerous times. The two modern chimpanzee species are however, our closest living relatives. The most recent common ancestor of humans and chimpanzees lived between 5 and 8 million years ago. Finds of the 4.4 million year old Ardipithecus indicate the ancestor would have looked like small, long limbed chimpanzees with rather short snouts and were moderately competent bipedal walkers. Contrary to the idea of chimpanzees as being merely "primitive", they too have evolved since the split, becoming larger, more aggressive and more capable climbers. Together with the other apes, humans and chimpanzees constitute the family Hominidae. This group evolved from a common ancestor with the Old World monkeys some 40 million years ago.
Species do lose some traits, evolution isn’t just about gaining. Traits are lost because we no longer need them. The appendix is a prime example. We no longer have much use for it because modern medicine is assisting us. Our bodies are adapting to the medicines we're taking, and mortality rates are much lower than they were hundreds of years ago.
This idiot also makes ridiculous analogies like cars turning into airplanes. To compare evolution to a car being transformed into an airplane is ridiculous. For people to accept that as a solid point, it may just prove the scientific illiteracy of the members of his cult following and moronic religious folks in general. I can see he is a fan of the Hovind doesn’t even provide a basic understanding of evolution to begin with. He’s certainly not an authority figure on this subject. This guy also went to prison for nine years after being convicted of failing to withhold employee income taxes and “structuring” bank withdrawals to avoid reporting requirements. I can also see he’s a fan of gish gallop technique which is where someone spouts so much bullshit in order to prevent rebuttal of the whole argument without using a ton of effort. It would never work in a structured debate against an intelligent opponent, but when preaching to a crowd of fanatics you can get away with it.

You uttered what I always was going to say - 'big band' is nothing, but a concept. It doesn't matter what it is; all what we will do it what we will do, and those imagination is something kind of help. Once a time Hume told about those types of imagination and perception of an image in the mind. We do it to help ourselves to get a picture. There was a Russian writer Nikolai Nosov (Николай Носов) and in one of his works (now I don't remember in what exactly work it took a place) he told us about a boy who wanted to solve a mathematician task, and he was despair by trying to solve it. So, he had intended to draw the situation in math task in a piece of paper, and when he solved it, because the picture he described help him to imagine the situation. We always do the same in similar situation, cause we're all people and we're not thinking robots to do so hard brain work as some of us (primarly, geniuses and very talented people do) are able to do. That's why 'The Big Band' 4 me personally it's nothing, but the "It's the Big big band..." - a not very clever Miley Cirus's song.

I think it is easy, the root of all sin is Satan. I discovered this years before Christianity too :p You can always blame people for their downfalls but when you really think deeply you understand people become a reflection of their surroundings and upbringing, so although people could behave better and more fairly, the cornerstone for their misbehaviour is their surroundings, which are government controlled, and government is corrupt. Since Satan originated corruption here on earth, he is to blame. So it is safe to say evil only arises out of ignorance, non God fearing/loving people, lack of knowledge and understanding. This reminds me of a main teaching in Hinduism, there are only three modes of action Sattva (purity, knowledge and harmony), Rajas (passion, action, energy and motion), and Tamas (ignorance, impurity, laziness, and darkness) In other words all things you do can be characterized into these three groups. To not properly identify the true cause of grief, is Tamas. Also I really like that Mantra: There's the only one truth. Very liberating. Your teachings of the Bible as good or as bad as they are probably were not the worst interpretations. So there's something to be happy about, but we should always seek truth and there is without a doubt truth in the Bible. Some of these religious cults are evil though. G: I was giving a broad general statement it was not directed to you anyways

Christians are the only ones who believe the universe came from nothing, physics certainly doesn't make that claim. So it's very ironic that Christian's use that argument against non-believers. But that verse clearly says God created it, so it didn't come from nothing, it came from God. Or do you believe God is nothing?

Lewis, and in one of his brilliant work "The Screwtape Letters'" he showed us a good example of the old devil said to the young one about how to confuse people; and, by the way, he said that people usually didn't look at the main, core problems, and this delievered them to evil. d. Agree. e. Agree, too. A really good words. f. I'm that I understood you correctly, but if people laughed at you because of your interpretation of Bible - it is horrible! As you said in (a) probably no one understands Bible completely. Only Jesus is who understands it (I think), and also his Apostles (I mean authors of Gospel firstly). g. I'm I understood you words here too. My words weren't intended to hurt someone, so it wasn't a joke, it was just an advice. I don't know about atheists or another people. I just know that if I can help I should do it. Maybe some would say that "Hey, those people wandered you around by your nose. They laughed at you and just toyed with you. And you caught their fish, and was fooled". It's possible, that's why we need to use our brains to try differ simple things. However, it doesn't mean that to suspect everyone is good; no, I think that to love everyone is more relevant in any kind of situation. Ok tried to respond where you didn't understand me but got confused. What did I say that you didn't understand? I don't know how to answer Oh, don't worry, I just wanted to say that you claimed many things that I took as the good ones too. Also, I wanted to say that it's awful that people could laugh at your Bible interpret. How dare them to even think about that? And I wanted to say that I didn't agree that it was correct to say that the atheists went to hell. Why this is not correct? Actually, everyone who goes to hell are atheists, but the atheists who deny the existence of God, but do good things, behave a moral life, etc are not the same as the previous one. So, as I said there are some types of atheists, and not everyone from them are such bad as we can thought. We don't use magic now, because we all know that the magic is fake, is nonsense. Anyway, it would be magical thought if we said that "God picks the souls which deny His existence to hell". God is charge to decide, not us. We don't know any mantras to be sure that our judgement about sinners are correct. Does anybody sure in it? Who can say that this man is sinner, and this one is not? It would be too hard for anyone. Usually, we can say (or not us, but many people in past) "his soul is filthy, or dirty". We can say it because the one with a dirty soul is blinded and he doesn't see a light of God. We can only guess that a person doesn't see God. That's why our human help is common to be needed firstly. All we have to do is to do good things. Being just a die hard soul makes us more rough and greedy. Jesus did many merciful things because His heart was clear from bad things. This is why some calls Him a God. God according to the definitions can't do bad things; all what He does is just good. Some of things we can consider as bad, but it happens only because we're not gods, and we don't have an ability to see everything around us. The previous what I said is human wisdom. We can try to extract if from Bible, but I don't know about a success of it. As human living creatures we need to decide to do by ourselves, nobody's able to do it except ourselves. And this is the reason why human wisdom is important too. Summary, we can suppose that human wisdom is the strategy or tactics to avoid many evil, or devil paths. Being equipped with human wisdom is a better way of our life, and this certainly better than a void start (with nothing).
