AmericanCharm Who led that investigation?
Similar footage showing Israeli soldiers hiding behind the Palestinian kids is available too. Besides, what some Palestinians do has no impact on moral ground for what other Palestinians are doing.
So finally are talking about Palestinians, or about Islamists? You don't really see the difference, do you?
Israel being in conflict with someone is nothing new. But it's Israel who tries to make more enemies than friends. Here I refer to Netanyahu's agenda against Poland.
Majority of votes, and
vast majority of votes is not the same.
Any evidence for that? You haven't shared any evidence for your claims with "vast majority of Palestinians supporting Hamas". Now you keep making up slogans without providing any serious information to support it.
No, it doesn't have such desire.
Israel responding to terrorist attacks carried by Hamas is another thing.
So it's basically fine, cool and awesome because the Soviets did the same...?
Why not? You voted for someone. And the USA still is in friendly contact with the Saudi Arabia. You definitely support this.
And since anybody who supports Palestine supports "Radical Islam" as you called it, then everybody who supports Saudi Arabia supports Wahhabism (actual Radical Islam). How do you feel about this? Isn't it time to avoid making silly parallels?
If I'm going to die, there is no difference to me if I'm being killed by an American bomb when they bring democracy, or if I'm being killed by a terrorist who blows himself up. I'm dead regardless. It may look different from a persepctive of those who are alive and who watch too much TV, but as a matter of fact, both kill the innocent.
And now you're talking about Islam, like it's a synonym to Islamism, Radicalism, Palestinians, Hamas, Hezbollah. But you don't know what Islam is. You think you know, because you watched some videos with angry people who CLAIM to be Muslims. But they don't act like Muslims.
And here's a proof that you don't know what Islam is about. In fact, the Muslims believe that Islam will NEVER conquer the world. Just never. No point bothering. Actually, they believe that at some points Muslims will be losing their faith, leading to the point when a lot of people live their lives wrongly. It's one of the signs of Islamic version of Apocalypse.
I see two evils, so I oppose both.
Syrians separated their religion from their politics very successfully, but there is one particular country in the world that decided to screw this up again. To bring democracy to already democratic country.
So, it's okay to commit atrocities, because the others do the same... Fine.
You know, I understand why the USA supports Israel. It also makes a lot of sense. But when you bring up the topic of Islam and its supposedly radical forms among Palestinians you must be prepared that someone actually someone will firmly disagree.
The most recent situation was investigated by the IDF. Apparently she ran toward the border fence, east of the south Gaza town of Khan Younis, in a bid to reach a casualty. During a time where Palestinian militants had been attacking Israeli troops along the border with gunfire and a grenade. Incidents like this happen, in war there will be civilian casualties, It’s unfortunate.
I’ve seen no such footage but I have heard of Israeli soldiers using Palestinians stand in front of military vehicles to deter stone-throwing.
The majority elected Hamas to lead their country. According to news site (first post), an article published two days ago showed a poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research and headed by leading Palestinian pollster Khalil Shikaki, indicates that 61 percent of Palestinians would choose the Islamic militant group leader, Ismail Haniyeh, for president if Palestinian presidential elections were held today. That would be a larger victory than Hamas had in the 06 election. The same poll also suggests a majority of Palestinians, 72 percent support adopting Hamas armed approach in the West Bank.
Also as of late February 2018 the percentage of Palestinians who support armed resistance including terror attacks, against Israel has risen. This is according to news site (Times Of Israel). It also states the percentage of Palestinians who support negotiations with Israel has also dropped, from 37% to 25%. As well
As Palestinian support for the two-state solution has dropped from 49% to 35% in just about a year.
Also “A new study of Palestinian textbooks finds that Palestinian children are being taught to glorify and value terrorism and violence. The study, called "Palestinian Elementary School Curriculum 2016–17: Radicalization and Revival of the PLO Program”
“The new Palestinian curriculum, which includes new textbooks for grades 1–4, is significantly more radical than previous curricula. To an even greater extent than the 2014–15 textbooks, the curriculum teaches students to be martyrs, demonizes and denies the existence of Israel and focuses on a “return” to an exclusively Palestinian homeland.
“Within the pages of the textbooks children are taught to be expendable. Messages such as: “the volcano of my revenge”; “the longing of my blood for my land”; and “I shall sacrifice my blood to saturate the land” suffuse the curriculum. Math books use numbers of dead martyrs to teach arithmetic. The vision of an Arab Palestine includes the entirety of what is now Israel, defined as the “1948 Occupied Territories.”
News site Observer “The recently released quarterly Palestinian Public Opinion Poll yielded “very frightening and pessimistic results” according to Khalil Shikaki, Director of the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research in Ramallah. Focused on confrontations between Israelis and Palestinians since October, 1,270 people were interviewed to assess the Palestinian outlook in four categories: First, confidence in the Palestinian domestic position (including Abbas, Fatah, and Hamas) second, the Israeli-Palestinian confrontations, third, whether the two-state solution is still considered relevant, and fourth, whether Palestinians should abandon the Oslo Accords.
“In the data was the broad Palestinian support for violence against Israelis, with young adults as the biggest supporters of the violence. Respondents between the ages of 18 and 22 showed a 72 percent support for violence, compared to 70 percent during the second intifada and 57 percent support just three months ago”
I do see a difference between Muslim Palestinians and Radical Islamists. In fact they are in somewhat of a civi war. You have the Palestinian Authority, which runs the West Bank with the political and financial support of the U.S and other major foreign powers, and the Islamist extremist group Hamas, which runs the Gaza Strip.
Supporting Saudi Arabia is something America does regardless of the candidate that we choose. I didn’t support bombing Syria but I support The President who approved it for economic reasons, societal reasons, border security, among many other reasons. Obama did the same thing and if Hilary was the elected President she would have done the same. If I had it my way there would be no support of any Islamic state, period.
I don’t know what Islam is? No I know exactly what Islam is. So does your country where Muslims constitute less than 0.1% of the total population. Because Poland, Hungary, and some other nations see what destruction Islam has done to other nations. Both in the past historically, and currently with what the Muslim migrants are doing to Europe. Maybe you have fallen for one six different forms of deception that are permissible in Islam.
I do however detest Islam as an ideology and consider it to be primitive and inferior. They are duplicitous, worthy of suspicion. No action can be taken at face value, ever.
Critiquing Islam=critiquing Muslims, many Muslims choose thankfully to ignore Mohammad's example of pedophilia, slavery, jihad, and slaughtering of the Kafir. Whether they are blissfully or willfully ignorant, it does not change the fact that it is the example that their prophet set.
With the Islamic migrants they commit massively disproportionate amounts of crime and use welfare at a higher rate than the native population, its not just the terrorist attacks that people have to worry about, there is also increased violence, increased rape (see Rotherham, Cologne, Sweden). Wait till the are the majority of Germany or Sweden.
For those who are the receiving end of a bomb no it’s doesn’t make much of difference who’s bombing them. Killing is killing whether done for duty, profit, or fun. What does matter to people is what ideology stands victorious.
I’m not saying that because other nations have done similar things in the past that justifies things The U.S has done. I’m pointing out the the criticisms of the U.S can be applied to many other countries. We definitely have done more harm then good in The Middle East.
But for every evil we have done, we do something good or beneficial. We have acted the primary engine of invention of the last 75 years, contributing more technology to the planet than any one, two or three nations currently in existence. We also provide the most entertainment in the form of movies, TV and music. We liberated The Philippines from Spain, saved them from Japan, trained their military, and boosted their economy.
U.S. research has resulted in various vaccines including for the polio virus. Contributed advances in digital electronics and space travel have resulted in gps technologies. Trillions of dollars have been distriubuted in food and medical aid around the globe. Our Cancer research teams have found effective treatments for formerly terminal types of cancer. American Universities as a whole are some of the most respected academic institutions in the world. We established The Peace Corps, since its inception in 1960, more than 200K people have volunteered in 139 countries. We sent $2.8B to Japan aid for the 2004 Tsunami, half from public and half from private funds. The Marshal Plan which was an initiative to aid the reconstruction of much of Western Europe. Bankrolling Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea aiding their reconstruction.
We have the most globally active charitable organizations like Salvation Army, Task Force for Global Health, Habitat for Humanity, World Vision, Nature Conservancy, Direct Relief, CARE, etc. Also we are a major funder for international aid orgs like Red Cross. There are so many other things that could be mentioned as well.
I think if light is to be shined on America’s largely bad foreign policy, one must also take into account some of the positive actions and aspects about America as well. Out of fairness.
