I notice that there are some Christians on this site, true Christians who might be able to help. This may be quite a long story or not but I'm asking every Christian everywhere I go for help and do not get a satisfactory answer. I was saved on mothers day when I was nine years old. For a year or two after that I enjoyed an unparalleled relationship with God. I could feel the Holy Spirit coursing through me as I praised him in church. I was prompted by the spirit to do good works and live a life not under slavery to sin. I read the Bible with vigor, I praised God with vigor, I loved God with all my heart, and I feared disappointing him. When I sinned I felt that something inside me was grieving horribly and I confessed my sin immediately and felt cleansed of it. This was my relationship with God until I read a passage in the Bible spoken by Jesus about the unpardonable sin. I became deathly afraid of committing it and do to my obsessive compulsive tendencies that comes along with having aspergers syndrome (high functioning autism) I began having invasive thoughts which led to horrible words which led to fear for my very soul. I would cry out to God for forgiveness and he did forgive me, but each time I would become afraid and wouldn't believe it. One day as I was begging for forgiveness God withdrew his spirit from me, and from that day on my life went down hill. I started sinning, I lost my fear of God, and I've lost much of the love I once felt for God. My heart has hardened to numbness. This has been going on for 14 almost 15 years and I've been trying to return to God and restore my relationship with Jesus for call of those years. I've tried manually turning from my sins and it didn't work. I've tried asking God for forgiveness and restoration but it doesn't work. It seems that right now I am stuck in limbo and have no idea how to get out. Do any of you Christians know how I am to restore my relationship with Jesus, and if the Bible even says anything about any of this because I can't find it anywhere in that whole book. Thank you in advance.

Nice thread for help from fellow believers About the verse you speak of...I have a tendency to push my limits sometimes but not in everything at least so phew. However, what I did about that verse to help me personally is that now since I know it exists and don't like looking at it or thinking of it much even that I took a sticky note and cut it to just the size of that verse and covered it. XD so I mean if someone wants to read it they can flip the sticky note up to read it. But sticky note helps me avoid thinking about what it says under it and avoid me doing something I shouldn't. So you should try a method like that if it helps. Now, the question is...you would repent immediately if you ever sinned and you felt cleansed. So...what happened now? Are you losing faith in that cleansing power that He gave before? What is making you doubt? Remember satan wants you to doubt since it's his way to trap you and ruin that relationship with God. So you need to confront whatever is telling you that you can't be with God.

I still can't stop sinning, and the Holy Spirit which is supposed to bear witness to us being believers is just... absent. I've been told this is whats called grieving the Holy Spirit but I don't know how to ungrieve it.

The Holy Spirit cannot be present when there is sin. They are opposing forces. You must put away whatever is causing you to sin otherwise you love it more than God and His Spirit is then not invited to dwell in you. So turn away from that sin first to restore your relationship with Him if it is really what you want. John 9:31 31 Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.

It's an enemy too powerful to overcome. It is impossible to stop sinning without the Holy Spirit. That is why an unbeliever is a slave to sin and cannot stop doing it. It is only when a man becomes born again and gets supernatural help from the spirit of God and a new heart that he is set free from the power of sin. I can't stop sinning on my own. Every attempt to do so has ended in laughable horrific failure.

I hope this helps you. You should only pray to angels in times you need great support. Give this article a look for six powerful prayersI've had spiritual experiences with God, and I come from a family strong in Christian faith. And in my time of need, asking an angel for guidance really helped me. the important thing to remember is, God is your father. He sees everything, and he will not forsake you if you do not forsake him. you're doing the best you can do. Sometimes a struggle is something you need to go through, to reach a greater understanding. Suffering can be a cruel but a great teacher. And i feel like you have a lot of unanswered questions. Keep faith.

You're just dealing with doubt and lack of faith in letting God use you for His glory. Just surrender in what you're doing. Do a 180 flip. Even sinners sometimes stop doing a certain sin on their own. Like one might say ok this drug isn't good for me I know so will stop by whatevet means possible. So Holy Spirit is never first unless you invite Him after doing a 180. Acts 2:38 38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit

They are not there for praying to. Only God is the one to whom my pleas will go to.

That exact commandment is what stopped me praying to God, and through serving nothing I've come to realise I serve the infinite.
