Sorry, I haven't see it. I don't like this ancient history movies. So, why do you see them? I don't like it too, because I prefer books to movies. Besides, who can be better in history representing than Plutarch or Thucydides? That tv show was not about Romans. There are only two-three scenes in the whole tv series with Romans, because it follows the lifepath of one of the antagonists, who happens not to be a human. This was one of those scenes.

To me it would be Marcus Aurelius or Aurelian. Had aetius not been killed and usurped the throne (Though very unlikely), then I would consider him as one of the best emperor.
