In Kiev, a march passed in honor of Bandera's birthday.
In the center of Kiev passed a torchlight procession in honor of the birthday of Stepan Bandera, TV channel "112 Ukraine". The action ended in Independence Square(Maidan). The number of participants was about a thousand people, some of whom came with lit torches. Among the gathered were representatives of ultra-right movements and supporters of the Freedom Party (Свобода). The procession was accompanied by Police and cynologists. The march was held under the slogan "For the glory of heroes, for the future of children!". Stepan Bandera (1909-1959) was the leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists , one of the initiators of the creation of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army , whose goal was to fight for the independence of Ukraine. The UIA operated primarily in Western Ukraine and fought against the Soviet troops, cooperating with the Nazis. After the war, she continued to sabotage activities against Soviet power. ria.ru/world/20180101/1512072648.html
