Humanity's Tree
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Meaning is in the mind of the speaker
Value is in the heart of the believer
Truth is in the soul of the seeker
Morality is humanity’s treasure
buried beneath appearances skin deep.
If you want to look at beauty use your eyes
but if you want to see real beauty use your hearts.
Morality is humanity’s valued utility
used to unravel beauty deeper than skin.
If you want to see true beauty don’t use your eyes.
because eyes are blind to such beauty not hearts
There is more to someone than meets the eyes
for hearts see without light and beyond form.
Eyes see with motive’s light and greed’s form
but hearts see with conscience’s light and values’ form.
Why do you look up for what is right in front of you?
Why do you search for what you can find within you?
Our truths are our personal gravitational force
weighing us in values measurable in humanity’s units.
We may look, speak, behave, and see things differently
but in the end all humans are branches on humanity’s tree.
We are all frail beings seeking acceptance and warmth
on differences' branches when we should be seeing humanity’s roots.
