Can it be that the same things call out as our interest so our love? What do I mean? It happens that some things are interesting for us. We may ask what causes that interest for certain things? And sometimes we fall in love to someone. We also may ask what causes that love or the interest to that person in us? I think that this mechanism is the same, because it is something naturally. If our heart starts beating faster each time when we see or even hear the person loved by us, then there's something that calls out the interest in us when we do something.
Interesting to note that Socrates in Plato's "Symposium" brought a thought that Eros was not only responsible for love and kinda, but also he was at the beginning of the world or reality creation. So, Eros helped the reality or the world to be born. We might ask for why or for which purposes this reality or this world appeared? And Eros is the one who did it - he caused that interest. But! Along with it there's something really tricky: at the same time Eros just an initiator of that interest. It does not mean that Eros is some kind of an architect; Eros's role is to cause interest, and that's all. (Aristotle wouldn't like this :) )
