I would like to know the extent to which tribalism is visible in your social life or the social life of any culture you know of ?

Are any traditions like celebrating new year tribal? I don't know for sure what is it 'tribal'.

South Africa is as tribal as it gets, especially the white folk. Even amongst that population there are sub tribes on the basis of language.
Yet, English and Afrikaans are just groups of tribes themselves, a microcosm of Britain and Europe. In recent years the Africans are far less tribal - a necessary requirement of political survival.
But new world white society has many subconscious tribal sub-strata, that are typically trying to be invisible in the eyes of the media.

Are any traditions like celebrating new year tribal? I don't know for sure what is it 'tribal'. I mean as a group that belong to the same ancestors. How is this connection reflected in people's life ? A soul doesn't have any nationality. And by a soul I don't mean any religious concepts - because as the rest of other social fictions this had got its religious background. No, I'm talking about super personality soul - a part of me, and only me, that was me, that is I, and that never belonged to anything. Religions teach us that we are not us, and that we belong to something, while their opponents (I mean atheists, agnostics, whatsoever) teach that we are - people - are just dust, and that there are no personalities. Well, speaking honestly, I don't really know, but I wish that both of those weird societies (any societies are weird) were wrong. I believe that is something in me (and some other good people) that make us be what we've always been. We don't belong to anything, we are what we are. This is my "tribe". In other words, all my tribes - this is me, myself.
