I have always had a distaste for Cenk Uyger, the owner and host of the progressive internet show the Young Turks. I've found him to be a blatant liar and a man child who lacks the ability to express his opinion in a level headed civilized manner. All he ever does is yell, and rant, and drone on in an angry bullheaded abrasive manner about things that doesn't know anything about. And of course he hates the South calling us (today) backward savages (because we vote in a way he doesn't like) whose ancestors were a bunch of backward evil savages because of slavery. I always found this to be hilariously hypocritical because his ancestors were... you know... Turkish and he names his show the Young Turks after the Turkish political party that did the Armenian genocide.
Like, I have nothing against Turks or anything, or any people for that matter, but do I really have to recount the history of Turkey? To be brief the Turks took the land of Anatolia from the Greeks, conquered there neighbors in the Middle East, Europe, and North Africa creating a giant colonial empire that reached well into Eastern Europe, had a crap ton of slaves, perhaps more than we ever had, many of which were black Africans and when their empire collapsed and the modern Turkish state was born, they committed a horrific genocide murdering millions of Armenians, Greeks, and Assyrians. He always insults Southerners for flying the Confederate flag but how is naming your show "The Young Turks" any better? Anyways there's a video below, a YouTube short that brought this obvious fact to everyone's attention that I find hilarious. .
