Very often politicians are accused of acting illegally, immorally or unethically. Does any of this matter if the politician delivers and if they work to improve the economy? Would it be better to have ineffective honest leaders or effective corrupt ones?

Good topic. Hmm...I guess if economy is good then they succeeded in doing ther job overall...rather they be effective and honest though xD

Yes. It always matters. This is happening where there is corruption. It is slight of hand, to be the savior at the front door while robbing the back porch.
However, we are each guilty in our own way of this on a smaller scale. Can we not all be despised by one, and simultaneously praised by another?
One will say we're the devil itself, another will think us sinless.
