Modern liberals and antifas are much more psychy and brutal. If they ever got complete control of society, they very well could prove to be more brutal than the Romans. I wouldn't call their brand of brutality psychopathy however. Psychopathy implies a lack of humanity, conscience, and attachment to your fellow human being. In short it implies a mental disorder. I think the brutality of modern liberals and antifa would be motivated by very normal human impulses, the same impulses that drove the holocaust, the communist murders, and the Islamic jihads, and that is ideological dogmatism. They have an ideology that they follow with a religious zeal and that ideology otherizes and dehumanizes anyone who dissents from or opposes it and those specific racial, ethnic, and religious groups that they deem to be evil and subhuman. I think that these people if they got power would create the most horrific society ever conceived by man. They would brutally exterminate all political dissidents to their ideology and would create a totalitarian society based around their warped, out of touch with reality, worldview that would cause untold poverty, misery, and corruption of the human spirit to the extent to where the society in question would never recover from the mental scars left behind.

I agree that what you call Psychopathy is a mental/feeling condition, a lack of conscience or "humanity" (compassion, etc.), and that, as such, it is personal condition, not a condition (a behavioral characteristic of a social group, a crowd, a sports team, a gang, like a gang of dogs that instinctively act in concert). But why do you call it a mental disorder or abnormality? You assume that a mind or a brain is naturally "normal/ordered", loving, compassionate, and the like, when in fact such a "humanity" is an ethical ideal -- which, in history, has exemplars of orderd mind) enunciated and elaborated by a Roman Stoic, Cicero, and indeed was called the highest human duty. And look at the mental condition of some Romans. . When during the military attack on Syracuse a soldier killed Archimedes (who had used parabolic mirrors to set Roman ships on fire), the commander decried the deed and said he was deprived of the opportunity to forgive Archimedes. You and Hollywood generalize inhumane Romans and say that THE Romans were psychopaths. Why don't you generalize the humane Romans and jurisprudents (exemplars of ordered/normal minds)?

You and Hollywood generalize inhumane Romans and say that THE Romans were psychopaths. Why don't you generalize the humane Romans and jurisprudents (exemplars of ordered/normal minds)? I didn't call the Romans psychopaths; that is just a catchy name for the video this topic is about and if you watch that video it doesn't even generalize all of the Romans as psychopaths. Therefore simply watching the video might satisfy the complaints you are making. My response about psychopathy to Eugene was in objecting to his assertion that modern liberals and antifa are motivated by psychopathy as some of the Romans atrocities were (again watch the video) rather than ideological dogmatism and fanaticism. And psychopathy IS a mental disorder. Most humans are a mix between cruelty and compassion, and most humans have the capacity to feel compassion whether they are generally good or evil people. Lacking any ability to feel compassion, love, guilt, shame, or attachment to your fellow man means something is wrong with your brain. If you scan the brain activity of clinical psychopaths the brain activity is different/abnormal and they are not firing on all cylinders. In other words their wiring is bad.

I read the explanations that the Romans were so Brutal because one of their forefathers received such a blessing .. -And by thy sword shalt thou live..- (Genesis 27:40) Everything said about Edom (red) happened to the Roman Empire.

It could be said about anyone. No, it doesn't seem Romans were cruel. Paul was a Roman also, and he died in Rome.

Unfortunately we were never trained to speak or to write IN WHAT RESPECT person or a thing is so-and-so. I like to be a pedant: Paul was Roman in respect to his political citizenship. (Sorry, Eugene. By that kind of training, everybody would avoid the fallacy "secundum quid...et simpliciter")

By that kind of training, everybody would avoid the fallacy "secundum quid...et simpliciter") Yes. Definitely. I mean, I like your tips for me. These are really and indeed helpful. By saying Paul was Roman I wanted to say... (and that is true, often I type only a part of a sentence, instead of pointing to something. Perhaps, it's a sequence of using Ukrainian or Russian which have such a structure with flexibles (suffixes, prefixes, tails) that help to use a few words to operate a whole sense. For instance, Ukrainian: "він застрелився", "він стрілявся", "його застрелили", "його стріляли", Russian : " он застрелился", "он стрелялся", "его застрелили", "по нему стреляли", or sorta.
...that being a Roman Paul already had something important. I mean that was not just an occasion. Why Paul were not a Slav or a Scandinav? He died in Rome, not in Babylon or Alexandria. When Jews are taken as the chosen, why this folk is so important then? Why not Greek or Egyptians? I guess there were many folks not worse a bit, than Jews. So, thati choseness was an occasion; ...or not?
