So, some people argue that the hermit is a egoist because he lives only for himself. In that kind of meaning, the hermit is a excentrical, who do not want to become as the society wants to him to become.
So, to be excentrical is a natural thing and necessary, as to be exotic is for some people a necessity.

As a signal of truth, there is no need of social interaction if we can provide only the essential for ourselves. And that is a true possibility, every person can attain it with no contradictions.

Exactly. I mean you develop your life style based on your own needs not someone elses. However I dont think you need to be a minimalist to be hermit.
