The SourceVery touchy story. What can I say? It's all good that ends good. Incredible. His life had only just begun, but things were already looking dark for one little dog in Florida.
Dumped in the night on the back porch of the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), the tiny puppy endured near-freezing temperatures before staffers found him the next morning. Thanks to the kindness of one policeman, however, he'll never be alone again. While responding to an unrelated call at the shelter, Officer Marcus Montgomery was shown the puppy at the urging of a PAWS supervisor. According to Montgomery, their connection was instantaneous.
"She brings me this little guy, [and he's] chill, no whining, no barking, just chill," wrote Montgomery on image-sharing site Imgur. "So I get to hold him and he immediately curls up in my arms."
Montgomery and his girlfriend fostered and adopted the pup, a process they have experience with, having previously taken in a pit bull named Vader from PAWS.
And, along with his new big brother, the rescued puppy will be getting an appropriately Star Wars-inspired new name.

The lock on that dogs face. It's like, "Oh yeah he digs me now he shall be my slave." Very cute story.

The lock on that dogs face. It's like, "Oh yeah he digs me now he shall be my slave." Lol Very cute story. :) I see in the puppy's eyes all those terrible events what could happen to him. The puppy was indeed saved. I wouldn't even want to imagine what could happen to him, if he wouldn't be caught... It's really happy that everything has ended happily.

I just see relief on the dog like he knows things will be better now. So I wish all the best for those two.
