As Aristotle truly said: "All men by nature desire to know", till our days people are seemed to be the followers of their desires, and they are driven my their habits, and inner intentions. Most of their intentions are plain and grounded: it's not necessary bad, it's our daily lives, and such a style of live has a great impact on many things.
But among those things there are some which still unknown for us. And as the unknown things inside us there are some extent unknown things outside of us also: as the elders principle: "As above, so below" - was also an oath of Hermes Trismegistus, and microcosm/macrocosm principle as well. The extensive character of those unknown for us properties can be sum and grouped together as something that always stays that. I mean this the unknown is what tends to be the unknown, and what is hiding at the deepest depths of our consciousness, in our hearts and our minds also, and what is lurking in the dark at nights.
All those lurking/hiding things can be named in general as mysterious things, or shortly as the Mystery. And it is to what exactly all the philosophy have been driving.
Cause: all the philosophies want to discover the truth; all of them think that their truth is the truthest truth of the truthest truths; they try to elaborate relevant methods to conquer the places where the Mystery is supposed to be hiding; they hunt for the Mystery from the different points... And at the end, the Mystery will always remain unreachable and unattainable.
