What is that "the sense"? What does it mean that something makes any sense? Is there any sense to question what sense is?, and what it means?
They say the sense is what we're acquiring (or obtaining?) as soon as we get it. Usually it sounds like "I got it" or "U got it". But what exactly do we get acquiring that sense? It's probably just a manner of speaking. There is nothing to get.
Another thing is context. They say that this phrase (or a text) makes sense in one context, but in other contexts it might not work. So, what's the context is, we may ask?
Some say the sense is something additional to a meaning. There can't be a meaning without a sense, or there can be sense, but no meaning. This time sense equals the order or the rules. So, the senseless is to not have the order or not to follow any rules. I'd say that it implies the chaos is what has no sense, and not a chaos has some sense. But what about nothing and emptiness? They have sense? Perhaps, they follow some rules.

Do you mean inference? Like, in a conversation one can know the point someone is trying to express though neither party can figure out how to consciously express it?
Or how we talk of "common sense," like an assumed, collective understanding that leads to other assumed-to-be-collective inferences. For instance, we generally assume that people agree it's bad to hurt others without cause, so from that we expect people to act accordingly and not hurt us or others without cause.
Or do you mean something else?

"Makes sense" is an idiom that isn't related to the verb "sense". To say that something makes sense just means that it is mentally acceptable.
