Honestly though people tend to idealize the past when in reality it sucked arse. Modern day man has the highest standard of living of anyone in history. I don't want to live in a society run by an aristocracy where I spend most of my day plowing wheat in a field for some dude in a castle for example. Well, that was the only paycheck at the time. For peasants. |

For peasants. I guess you could call it a paycheck. But it wasn't really a job. Peasants were not allowed to leave the lord's land and were basically bound to it. A peasant's job is to plow wheat for that rich arsehole who thinks he's better than you because he's of noble blood and God help him if he doesn't. The past completely sucked; I'm glad to be born in the present where we have a standard of living far better than even the kings of the past. |

If it was possible I would've liked to visit almost any era, meet with great minds, find out how impossible buildings were built, observe animal and plant species that are extinct, ... (Or just a few weeks back to fill in the winning lottery tickets haha).

I was born in 20th century and I like this period. I don't think there was different period in history I'd like to be born at.

I do like the current time period and I wouldn't want to live in any other, especially in the EU, we don't really have anything to worry about, ... I would've just loved to be able to see things and people from the past and speak with some of them, follow their mindset, ... We can only thrive forth if we know our past and the more we know, the faster we can progress.
