In Arabic we have a saying, that roughly translates as " One is not enraptured by the tone of a local musician". Do you agree with this saying?

I'm not sure I understand what you are stating, perhaps the meaning doesn't translate well from Arabic to English?

Enrapture means to give intense pleasure or joy, so you are stating that I cannot find the tone of a local musician to be pleasurable? That's ridiculous, if that's what you mean, I've heard many local musicians with gorgeous tones, in fact I think my own guitar tone is rather enrapturing if I may say so

That's ridiculous, if that's what you mean, I've heard many local musicians with gorgeous tones, in fact I think my own guitar tone is rather enrapturing if I may say so Yes, the saying is that one cannot find the tone of a local musician to be pleasurable. i also find it a bit odd in the literal sense, but if you take it to mean that people are attracted to what is new and different, and are bored by what is normal, it could make some sense.
