It occurred to me that the universe's structure might as well be a mycelial network. Everywhere the nodes and filaments of the network reach, is where life grows in suitable energy gradients because it is probably the most optimal way of increasing entropy. Then what we observe as forces are all waves of energy transferring information, in essence: Consciousness. A moving object, even if it has no mass like a photon, has gravity. - What gives forces different strengths?
- Is the universe a living being?
- Does it have a mycelial network?
- Is dark matter the mass of the activity in it's neural network?
I feel like quantum gravity is the connection.

So you are saying that we have life present in the entire universe or that the universe itself acts like a living being? Because it grows and expands so in a way it's living but it doesn't have a conscience so how living is it? I feel like it is more like a plant than an animal or human

Maybe more like a plant, but how much different is a plants consciousness from ours? Isn't it other things like awareness and self-awareness that set us apart? Consciousness to me is when something is aware of sensory input. How is information travelling through forces somewhere in a galactic filament any different from the information travelling through our brain?

Yes, the difference isn't limited to just consceinseness. It was just one example but I'm sure there are many more. But how do plants have consciousness? They don't have eyes and can't even move from one spot without an external force moving them. And if someone comes to cut down a flower they wouldn't know they're in danger and won't even fight back. An animal can be taught tricks and stuff but a plant is like blind and deaf and mute. A piece of paper is technically a plant since it's from a tree. But it's classified as an object that's not alive basically. Or do you classify things a bit differently?

the difference is, paper doesn't have channels to send signals through to detect and grow towards sunlight.
