It's cool but I don't see how the victims of communism are related to the United States. Similarly Portugal or any other country may make a National Day to Commemorate the Victims of Pol Pot.
Nice idea, but I don't understand why to make that day "National" in the United States.
Unless someone explain it to me.

Does anyone else have any idea why this national day was instated? If there is a purpose that is not stated officially, I mean.

My guess is because United States is so diverse with people from all counties and would like to have a celebration of what some of their people in the land went through in that sense when they lived in their old countries.

I find it very hypocritical thing to do! American bankers sponsored revolution, and the American authorities gave free exit to Trotsky! Do not forget it Mr. Trump!

Like his wife, for example. I think it's also a statement to the fools in the Republican party who accuse him of being a communist just because he doesn't hate Russia.

Nicholas 2, had to pay more attention to foreign policy, be able to negotiate. The United States actively cooperated with tsarist Russia when the civil war in Russia began, the United States preferred to stay out of the way, to give Russia a chance, to solve its own problems. I will not mention the European countries that actively supported the peasants and the uprising in Russia.

I don't understand. The communists or faschists or someone else - precisely belong to the regions. For example, we associate faschists with Germans and communists with Russians, but it's absurd to raise objections to such 'abstract' things at the present day.
I wonder if this is another witch huntings?
Why is it happening now? Why?
Everyone who is recruited to new hatred about communists past affairs will hate not communists but the nation that behind it - russians. So, that's why US calls it the nation celebration. So, it's the same to say: our enemy would be thinking animals instead of 'humans'...
It is an absurd, the real absurd!.. I can't believe I live in the world like this now...

What about a national 'victims of the US day?' I won't correct the situation: you blame them, they are be blaiming you - nothing will change. We need to stop multipliing these 'victims'. Are they victims? What 'bout everyone else? I'd say that every human is a victim of the Earth conditions! Since all of us are victims let's post a day of the 'Earth victims' and will blame everything in Universe for our misery and pain!
