Hikikomori In Japan, hikikomori (Japanese: ひきこもり or 引き籠もり, lit. "pulling inward, being confined", i.e., "acute social withdrawal"; colloquially/adaptive translation: shutter) are reclusive adolescents or adults who withdraw from social life, often seeking extreme degrees of isolation and confinement. Hikikomori refers to both the phenomenon in general and the recluses themselves. Hikikomori have been described as loners or "modern-day hermits". Estimates suggest that nearly half a million Japanese youth have become social recluses.

I need this sometimes...today would be good . But too much isolation isn't good for you.

Yes, I do agree with Elizabeth, because I need it sometimes too. To say honestly, I'm afraid and love Japan culture at the same time. I can't understand 'em, especially on those Guro or sorta things, and especially on their fairy tales (they are as creepy... as hell!). One of the best games that dealing with this phenomena is of course Silent Hill 4: The Room. I don't really know the causes of their acts. Well, I guess Japanese loony enough, but cute at the same time too. I was wondering what if one day I would've fell into love with a Japanese girl? What kind are they?

In Kharkiv University students are fluently visiting. This practice is called... hmm... the transferring? I have met Chinese Chinese girls, but not Japanese. Only in the movies or in the anime, just like this one:

These hermits are not giving up on anything, they just realized before most there is nothing out there except institutionalized insanity and absurdity.
