Me personally, i'd have to say the Merkava Mk.4 is my favorite tank of all time with a design based almost entirely around crew protection and survivability, as well as the good looks the tank has.   |

In the days of depleted uranium munitions there is no such thing as crew survivability.
Perhaps you are thinking of IED's. But bury a big enough charge in the road and even a Merkava is vulnerable. The day of the tank is over, as is landwarfare. The future is guided munitions, drones, aerial warfare, satellites, GPS, and superbombs.
Tanks are not and will not be used against Armies, but against civilian populations, and minor nations
