I think it is fair to say that the vast majority of Christians believe that when they die they have a soul which will go to heaven or hell or purgatory depending on the denomination.
If the above is true then what does God mean when He says-
"See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. Isaiah 65:17
“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away” (Revelation 21:1).
But according to his promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:13)
If on "judgement day" everyone goes off to their deserved places then who is going to live on this "new earth" and who is going to be around to be righteous

This earth will be destroyed and replaced with new one. It will be once again the kind of planet God intended it to be before humans ruined it. But sinners go to live in heaven and saints to live in heaven with Jesus as Jesus. New earth will end up vacant as all the planets are. Planets were just meant for decorations since that's why planets aren't populated around us.

If on "judgement day" everyone goes off to their deserved places then who is going to live on this "new earth" and who is going to be around to be righteous I think you are a little confused, the 1,000 reign with Christ is different from the new heaven and earth There's actually two ressurection, the dead in Christ and later the dead of everyone.
