The following is the most AUTHENTIC translation of Bhagvad Gita. This is not specific to india or hindus, but, is compendium of knowledge, which was penned down by Sage Veda vyasa, after the aryan kingdoms came to end. The translators propagated many spiritual and new philosphies in subcontinent, long time back, so it is more or less, corret. bhagavad-gita.org/Gita/chapter-01.htmlVyasa (/ˈvjɑːsə/; Sanskrit: व्यास, literally "Compiler") is a central and revered figure in most Hindu traditions. He is also sometimes called Veda Vyāsa (वेदव्यास, veda-vyāsa, "the one who classified the Vedas"), or Krishna Dvaipāyana (referring to his complexion and birthplace). He is generally considered the author of the Mahabharata, as well as a character in it, and the scribe of both the Vedas and Puranas. Vyasa is also considered to be one of the seven Chiranjivins (long lived, or immortals), who are still in existence according to Hindu belief. According to the Vishnu Purana, "Veda Vyasa" is a title applied to the compilers of the Vedas who are avatars of Vishnu; 28 people with this title have appeared so far. The reason for this 28 people is that in every Yuga in the Dwapara of a Given Manvantara in a Given Kalpa [ Brahma day ] Veda Vyasa who is also incarnation of God comes down. Currently we are in Sveta varaha kalpa of 7th Manu called Vaivaswata Manu and 27 Maha yugas have completed and we are currently in the last phase of 28th Yuga Kali Yuga phase.[1][2] The festival of Guru Purnima is dedicated to him. It is also known as Vyasa Purnima, for it is the day believed to be both his birthday and the day he divided the Vedas.[3][4] Though Indian texts, of now, proclaim him as born of untouchable, in reality, his mother actually was found by a fisherman, who took her and his brother. There's absolutely no reference about his caste in vedas, and political backed up people use these texts to alter their agenda. Also, krsna is not black, but swarthy and red, and is comparable to Slavic word: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KrasnaKrasna is a Slavic word meaning "red" or "beautiful". (Comparable to Sanskrit Kṛṣṇa or Karṣṇa which means "black", "dark" or "handsome"). Surprisingly, my name is also RADHA KRISHNA

lamburk I tried to read this book...but I never could. A lot of things hard! The actual gita was compiled by Sage Veda vyasa. His original name is KRSNA DWAIPANYA, which means, swarthy complexioned born on an island. Also, there's a specific mention in this chapter, where, krsna says that among sages, I am vyasa, and I am also shukra, the priest of Daityas, of the asura/aesir tribes. bhagavad-gita.org/Gita/verse-10-35.htmlMost of the gita translations from subcontinent are fake, but this one is authentic, especially by madhavacharya. And internet picture of Sage Veda Vyasa is something like this

lamburk I tried to read this book...but I never could. A lot of things hard! Are these ISKCON people from whom you purchased this? Throw it, and don't follow those morons. They are greedy, materialists, and have given a wrong meaning to krishna consciouness. The actual krishna consciousness was spread by this person, who was an aryan vedic brahmin, of that era. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaitanya_MahaprabhuChaitanya was born as the second son of Jagannath Mishra and his wife Sachi Devi. Mishra's family lived in the town of Dhaka Dakhhin, Srihatta, now Sylhet, Bangladesh.[7][8] According to Chaitanya Charitamruta, Chaitanya was born on the full moon night of 18 February 1486, at the time of a lunar eclipse.[9] Alternatively, Chaitanya is also believed to born in Mayapur. Mayapur is located on the banks of the Ganges river, at the point of its confluence with the Jalangi, near Nabadwip, West Bengal, India, 130 km north of Kolkata (Calcutta). Mayapur is considered a holy place by a number of other traditions within Hinduism.[cit This krishna consciousness was done by an indo-brachid, some bhakti prabhupada and had hollow knowledge.

I've never ever read anything more deep, wise; tactically, strategically, emotionally and so phenomenological base than Bhagavad-gita! I want to buy the book! My friends tell me that they've had enough of my proposing them to read this incredible book! Since being a follower of our Lord Krishna, I try to involve followers to the truth! Actually, there was no Christ, but there was an avatar of Krishna (Christ=Krist=Krisht=Krishta=Krishna). So, Christianity is nothing, but a mistaking worshipping to the wrong God.
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna, Krishna, Hare, Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama, Rama, Hare, Hare!
