Did he ever take his hat off? He always seemed dressed in black. I mean he did grow up poor and with one living parent and no education....but I always wondered if he was limited on clothes and living poor still since seems like one outfit always. Or did he have any jobs? Anyone know anything about the dark clothed fella?

Or did he have any jobs? Anyone know anything about the dark clothed fella? Well, here's what I know about Lincoln. He was born in Kentucky to white trash arsehole of an abusive father. He later moved to Illinois which was on the frontier and became a politician. He was a big fan of Henry Clay and was a staunch member of the Whig party. The Whig Party was basically the government interventionist party which opposed the "government leave me alone" democratic party. Then there's his presidency, the Civil War and everything everyone knows him for. I also believe he has Marfanes syndrome which made him tall, lank, strange looking, and made him walk funny. He was one of the best orators in American history and he possessed a sharp wit. I have mixed feelings about Lincoln because on the one hand he seemed like a good guy, and on the other, my ancestors fought against him in a bloody traumatic war for their independence. I also don't care for his politics and am on the Democrats side in that period of history on everything but slavery. Andrew Jackson has always been my favorite president, favorite southerner, and favorite American.

But Lincoln's dad passed away so he didn't get to endure too much suffering I think.

According to many experts, Lincoln is one of the few normal US presidents!

I heard once that people still thought he was a bit racist despite wanting no slavery in USA. I heard he only wanted to end slavery to send them back to Africa instead but some say it was because he thought they'd never forgive the US and want to move back themselves. Anyone else heard this?

Yeah, he did want to recolonize American blacks in Liberia or Haiti at thew beginning of the war because he thought that it would be best that the races separate. However when blacks started fighting in the Union army he changed his opinion because he couldn't ask someone to fight for a country that wasn't theirs. He was kind of racist but everyone even and especially the abolitionists were back then, but Lincoln was less racist than most.

What do you mean? I would think you'd mean rare but we have too many diamonds in the world so they should make the price cheaper
