I ran out of characters to put the title in but whatever.
What is y'all's opinion on what is the most "history rich" period of history?
I would have to say The Roman Empire for it's history spans for right near 2000 years, until the fall of Constantinople in 1453, it was then technological power house of it's day (depending upon which part of it's history that is).

Well, Roman Law, the transition from Greek to Roman ideologies, not to mention Julius Ceasar! Constantine adopting Christianity. The Collesium. I mostly only said it because my old best friends name on a chat app. Her name was romanempire3! Since then I have always liked the Roman Empire.

I just don't know what it is  *hides in embarrassment* The reason they are very important is because they are one, if not the most important empire in the history of Europe. They are the reason that Christianity spread in most of Europe (before Muslims invaded and captured over 2/3rds of the Christian World at that time.) They are also the basis for modern western governmental models/laws and architecture. Also, their language, Latin, is the Mother Language of several major world languages today. Among the list of these are Italian, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. These are only a few reason why the Roman Empire is very important to World History. |

In truth, in the history of Christianity, the Roman Empire played a negative role .... before accepting Christianity, Rome fought against the church .. the Roman Empire in Revelation is a beast from the sea!  |

Wait...roman empire had to do with the crusades? No, Romans had their own polytheistic religion. They didn't wan't to allow Christianity to spread through their empire, at least until some point. Giving up religious rights to Christians destroyed this empire in my opinion. |

Wait...roman empire had to do with the crusades? That's Holy Roman Empire that has to do with crusades, but its not related to Roman Empire. Holy Roman Empire is basically Germany + Swiss + Austria + Slovenia + Northern Italy + Czech Republic. HRE existed in medieval period, not classical period. |
