I've been reading in the news that both sides are preparing for a possible war. Tensions have heated after Iranians flew a drone into Israeli airspace, followed by the shooting down of an Israeli military jet by Syrian forces.
Iran has a really dangerous influence over the conflict in Syria and in Southern Lebanon.
Online, pro-Iranian (and pro-Russian) propaganda spites the United States. I personally can't tolerate the sort of mass fear and ignorance that comes as a result of this propaganda. What's worse is Hezbollah's influence on Lebanese politics.
During the Syrian occupation of Lebanon back some time ago there was a really large anti-Syrian protest in Beirut. To counter this, Hezbollah bussed in a larger number of participants for a pro-Syrian demonstration.
Hezbollah has contributed to the prolonging of Syria's civil war. Hezbollah, Iran, and Russia have supported the Assad regime. Now that ISIS has mostly been contained, there looms the question of the different militant groups in the area. In the end, Assad's regime should have fallen apart. A new government should have emerged but Assad's regime still exists today.
I can hope that, if a war comes to Lebanon soon, that the Israeli Defense Force kills Nasrallah and eliminates Hezbollah.
The Middle East is heading towards prosperity. Despite Saudi Arabia's repressive, Islamic laws, the country is looking towards progress; the country is also reducing its reliance on oil. Lebanon is stuck. War isn't inevitable, but I can see Lebanon changing dramatically if there is a war. Hezbollah can't stay for long, and I hope they are eliminated.

The Assad regime is the only force capable of resisting Islamism in this region! So showed practice that they are the only ones who are struggling with Islamic radicals without distinguishing them into "moderate" and "immoderate"
