The legacy from Middle Eastern genes on Europeans:West Asian admixture - the effect is associated with the Y-DNA haplogroup J2Southwest Asian admixture - the effect is associated with Y-DNA haplogroup J1Caucasian admixture - is associated with the penetration of Middle -Asian populations into Europe during the Neolithic, Copper and Bronze Age!      
From the point of view of anthropology, this is due to the Dinaric and Alpinide racial type!

europeans especially southeast europeans and people of northern western asia score mostly the same genetic components . just in different proportions
nothing unusual about this because geographical closeness and historical relations etc
