The group "Hayat Tahrir ash-Sham" (formerly known as "Djebhat An-Nusra" ) claimed responsibility for the Russian Su-25 plane shot down in Syria. This was reported by SITE, the leading monitoring information activity of extremists.

The Russian Su-25 was shot down on Saturday in the Syrian province of Idlib, the pilot ejected, but died while conducting a battle with terrorists. The Ministry of Defense of Russia stated that the aircraft was shot down from MANPADS. Later, in the military department, it was reported that more than 30 militants were destroyed as a result of a group strike by high-precision weapons in the area controlled by "Djebhat an Nusre" , from where an airplane missile was launched.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Pentagon's uncontrolled supply of modern weapons to pro-American forces led to Turkey's operation in this region of Syria. The ministry also added that "such irresponsible actions by the American side in Syria lead to the disruption of the peace process and hinder the inter-Syrian negotiations in the Geneva format, of which the Kurds must be full participants."
