I take an interest in the ancient Mesopotamian cultural period, especially that of the Sumerians and the Assyrian Empire, as well as the racial history of Europe throughout time (Coon's the 'Races of Europe' covers this quite well, for the time in which it was released), the rise of the Sea Peoples in the Bronze Age, the Bronze and Iron Ages in Western Europe, and the period of time from the establishment of the Hun Empire to the establishment of Hungary. I am also interested in the more recent history of Europe, especially that of British maritime history.

It has had a long history of protecting the British nation. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the Royal Navy of today.

I had no idea horses could make you bleed by biting! They have flat teeth!

I had no idea horses could make you bleed by biting! They have flat teeth! It was a strong bite by an angry horse so did cut the skin a little. But now just scar to remember it that horse wanted to kill a 5 year old I've no doubt!

Post industrial revolution towards the early 1900's. I think that time period is interesting in particular because of the impressionist movement.

The most intriguing period in history is before Earth be born. But there are several ones that looks great:
At Caligula's time. It's dinosaurs time. The period of Ivanishka. And some interesting periods when barbarians ruled the World.

World War 2 is my favorite time period. Why? There are still stories being revealed from that time period, and aides in the interest with stories that happen outside of the main conflict. Thereby making it a richer experience outside of what history books tell us.

I had no idea horses could make you bleed by biting! They have flat teeth! I knew a guy who got bitten by a donkey. He passed out and it scarred him in that area for life. He said it was horribly painful. Don't screw with equine animals, they have viscous bites.

Also to further elaborate on what I find most interesting in the dark ages; I love the Vikings and the Anglo Saxons. I just gravitate to that whole heroic Germanic mindset. I love these peoples languages, culture, mythology, worldview, and attitude toward life. I'm also descended from Anglo Saxons so there's that.
