Although I have very many historical interests in terms of time periods, I absolutely adore the age of sail and exploration, particularly with relation of Portugal and Spain (though I have much love for all the relevant powers of the time). I find it just so interesting that people who thought they knew all there was to the earth essentially find whole new worlds (in their eyes) and how they react and interact with it (even if a lot of the time it wasn't the most peaceful of interactions :v ), and just the spirit of maritime travel. I really love Portugal when it comes to this since a little before this age started they had already started their own exploration of western Africa and the Azores purely out of a curiosity of what is out there and the possibilities beyond their shores (no small thanks to a certain Henry the Navigator), and that sense of adventure just enthralls me and I respect that sentiment a lot.
Again, I love so very many different and colourful periods in history but this definitely is a favourite.

Just never forget to take pictures! Memories are good.

Many pictures will be taken, afraid I'd fill up my phone's storage I'm in love with harbour and port towns too, so hopefully I can find some of those. :D And of course, the food is a big allure. Love the stuff they bring to my country, would be amazing to experience it in theirs. Have you been to Portugal?

And sounds like you will need a camera with the best memory card storage!

Good times. Until one of the horses bit me ugh Did you had to take rabies vaccine? I don't remember. I was like 5 in Ukraine when it happened and mostly remember running to mom crying and bleeding. My students like me telling the story and showing them my teeth scar on elbow though
