if there were no death, we wouldn't think that we are living. we would take life for granted and in that way it would be silly. also I understand that death is just another stage of our existence. I am a strict believer in life after death!!! Why would we not think we were living? because you cannot define anything unless you have something else that contrasts it or that is different from it, or is related to it. Things are understood by way of comparison and contrast. Go to the dictionary and look the word "alive" up. you should find a mention of "dead" in the definition.

We die because we run out of breath. Simple That's the end of physical body. However, there is no death of the soul. The real aim of the life or human birth actually is to attain salvation. this is mentioned in bible also. But, attaining salvation depends on the 'karmic' influences, and that also is not know, whether one attains it also or not. However, now days, the fraudster religious and spiritual guru preach actions to attain salvation, which I oppose strictly. Because, none of the ancient civilization have ever IMPOSED rules of morality to attain salvation or liberation

Why would we not think we were living? because you cannot define anything unless you have something else that contrasts it or that is different from it, or is related to it. Things are understood by way of comparison and contrast. Go to the dictionary and look the word "alive" up. you should find a mention of "dead" in the definition. That works for concepts, sure, but how does that apply to the experience of living? Also, death isn’t what life is contrasted from necessarily. It is contrasted with what is not living. You may call something that is not living dead, but that does not mean it had to die or anything had to die for us to understand it to be “dead” or not living.

Everything in life is a concept, take colors for example. There is a disagreement between philosophers as to whether the color image you have for red is different from the color image i hold for the same color and no one could be sure about that. Why ? because you cannot define it independently or without reference to anything that relates to it and in the external level only.

We can at least conclude from my previous statement that death is not required to understand that one is alive, correct?

noskiFalsification of whether a person lives or not is irrelevant in any case. Such as experiments with animals in most other cases. To determine whether a person is in consciousness or not; is he lives or not, we use our experience of the past cases keeping in special medical books. So, eye's moving or breathing - are signs. More specific methods are about of IQ level, etc. Checking an employee on his ability for working at the place, etc - require trusted methods based on previous experiments, so that - based on experience. Concepts modeling is working as the 'generator' for the other future cases. For example, we have found that the nails of a person's poisoned by mercury contain traces of the mercury. So, we can assume that every next time when we find the body with traces of mercury under the nails of it, we will know that the cause of death of the person is the mercury (i). Sentence (i) is not very plausible because of it bases just on one case. However, it show us how 'concept modeling' may work. We general our experience. Without doing it (without generalizations) we can get any right conclusions. We can't do it, because there's no conclusions from just particular premises. Rules of Syllogism

Like why doesn't life always live. Why do you think?
We die because of Hayflick limit. In short, once male sperm and female egg form a zygote that cell has limit on number of times it can divide. If I remember correctly it's something around 80 for humans. By the time we are born we exhaust over 30 divisions. The rest are being spent depending on our lifestyle. The more stress the more cells die and need replacement the faster your reserve will be spent. Some organs of our body could exhaust their limit faster than others depending on events in life. Hence the variety of ages people live.

So no stressing? Got it. This will be easy to do xD

There are many effects that shorten our lives. All sort of excesses like excess of smoking, alcohol, drugs, unhealthy foods, even too much sport and too strong emotions. Here comes the dilemma: to live longer your life should be perfectly calm and eventless. Do you prefer to live long and bored or somewhat shorter but eventful?

ElizabethWe must get everything from our life! Don't struggle, taste it! Healthy food is more ruin than any cigarette, or a bottle of ale, or a dose of marijuana (moreover, I heard that the last one is legalized now in CA now. I think it is the fate! You need to taste some weed!!).

ElizabethNo, thanks. I fight for the right of legalization marijuana here, in Kharkov, in Ukraine. Marijuana is nothing but a medical stuff, so it has to be legalized. Gypsies sell it everywhere, and they pay to police for their cover. I hate gypsies!
