I believe in abiogenesis, followed by evolution, but I can't help but find the Piraha creation myth amusing: 'It's always been there!'

A religious person simply believes that God created the world! He does not need proof of the creation of the world! This is the essence of faith!

we are all created as we are now by GOD. If we had evolved from apes, why do we still have apes? didn't they find away to develop like us !?. to me the theory of evolution is a far-fetched speculation.

I guess apes had a fight and separated. One group decided to become human to never deal with the other apes again and the other stayed as apes.

I am lapsed creationist. Evolution has been more convincing to me despite it's shortcomings. I resent some bits of the creation myth because of the way it has been propagated to me.
Some of my teachers and catechists use the Eurocentric approach in a explaining most bits of the creationist myth and I wasn't allowed to question anything. And that's the only reason why I am leaning towards evolution

There are dozens of evidences but people like you will never accept them because your faith is above the science. If your faith says Earth is flat, you accept it. Then you would say there are not enough evidences which prove Earth is not flat.

My friend Lone Wander, just go ahead and put forward the "dozens of evidences" that you have. if me and the likes don't accept them, others might do. i would appreciate it if you just stick to the scientific content of your argument instead of labeling members!!!!

Lone wanderer used the scientific explanation, and now I’m going to use the metaphor. If you came from your cousin, why does your cousin still exist? You didn't come from your cousin, you both came from a common ancestor (grandparents). Just because they're dead doesnt mean they didn't exist, and we can dig up their bones in the graveyard and do dna testing to prove they're your ancestor. You and your cousin look similar, as families do, but unlike the rest of your family, who worked in the family construction business, you decided to become a scientist instead. That's why you two have different jobs, even though you're related!
