Doomsday clock: Two minutes left before the nuclear midnight! The hands of the Doomsday clock, which count down the time before the global nuclear catastrophe, moved 30 seconds forward and now show 23:58. This was reported by The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists magazine. “The clock shows two minutes before the nuclear midnight,” announced the president of the publication Rachel Bronson. So close to a nuclear catastrophe, mankind has not been since the first test of a hydrogen bomb in 1953. voiceofpeopletoday.com/doomsday-clock-two-minutes-left-nuclear-midnight/

Damn. If they had waited just 30 seconds, they'd have been able to make their point an Iron Maiden reference too.
But real talk though. I do feel like these nuclear doomsday predictions are a bit pessimistic. IMO, we're no closer to nuclear disaster than we were at any point throughout the Cold War. And we'll likely not get any closer as long as Trump's and Kim Jong Un's dick waving contest doesn't conveniently push the buttons required for nuclear launch.
I don't know, having a clock like this adds an aspect of inevitability to the situation which comes across as unneeded scaremongering. Why do we have it again?
