Nope. Not gonna happen. Too much is at stake. Everything you see in politics is nothing but posturing. All sides are controlled. We've gone full 1984. North Korea is just another optic for us to focus on.

WWIII? Very low possibility in my opinion but I think water scarcity and mass immigration may cause serious problems in the future, e.g. civil wars and conflict between the countries for the water and other resources.
It's not odd if fanatic Muslims decide to establish their Caliphate in the heart of cities like London, Paris, and Stockholm. I saw some videos about no-go and sharia zones and they are really scary. Muammar Gaddafi warned western countries several times. Most African countries suffer from poverty and they are overpopulated. So there would be a non-stop immigration stream from Africa to Europe or even West Asia. And most of immigrants are male, so you can predict what would happen.

I fear that WWIII will start due to overpopulation of the planet. We're eventually going to overshoot when the carrying capacity of the planet is exceeded for too long. To put it visually:  After the discovery of oil and the steam engine, population growth exploded. At the current rate population is growing at, sustainability is impossible. Oil drilling will become more difficult as the decades go on, and alternative sources of energy are nowhere near being capable of replacing the human reliance of this resource. A close look at population growth compared to oil consumption shows that the two are closely related:  With expenses going up due to oil declining in the future, I predict WWIII will begin in order to control the remaining scarce resources before everything bubbles up and implodes. Overshoot Index 2016With the depletion of resources and the worsening of crises such as global warming, water, soil and food depletion, biodiversity loss, and the acidification of oceans, it's becoming extremely obvious that change needs to happen, or it will be forced on humankind whether we want it or not. |
