Everyone attributes it to Hemmingway but no one is truly sure. It's considered one of the first examples of flash fiction. The implication is that someone is selling repurchased baby shoes. Baby shoes that were never worn. But why pra y tell would used baby shoes never be worn. What happened to the baby that was supposed to wear them?
