What can we do to stop this from happening? Should we ban video games? Well, what do you think about video games? Are they more useful or more damaging?

What can we do to stop this from happening? Should we ban video games? Well, what do you think about video games? Are they more useful or more damaging? Definitely more useful. They have helped people, such as making friendships, aiding in curing depression, increased brain activity, etc. Just because someone did something bad with an object doesn't mean it should be outright banned. >Okay, so lets ban videogames because they can harm someone. >Since anything that harms someone is bad, lets ban everything sharp, like cutlery, edges of furniture, door handles... >Adding to that, lets just ban the usage of metal because they're often sharp (and you don't want to be touching mercury) >Okay since you can trip down the stairs lets just make every house a bungalow. >Well since you can trip over and hurt yourself lets just get rid of all the buildings all together. >Hmm too much oxygen can kill you so lets ban those. >And don't forget eating or drinking too much can lead to some severe problems, so lets just ban all edible resources. >Animals can hurt you so lets ban them. >Oh I forgot we might as well remove the ground as well since we can trip on that as well. >Welp let's also get rid of Earth because that core is a bit too hot to be around. >Lets also remove the sun (and the solar system) because of radiation. >Don't forget that its going to be very, very cold in space so lets just ban temperature. >Wait now we are in space suffocating so lets just ban space. >Well I guess we should ban the universe because if we exist in the universe, someone will eventually get hurt in time. >And now nothing exists. ( I was just bored so I decided to make that little sequence of events. I guess it was fun making it)

the game isn't the problem the problem is somewhere else, in the area around him? the people? all these things add up to the state of mind this kid was in, you don't just do something like this if the area around you is normal and supportive. my best guess is that this kid was on the edge and then the game triggered the bom that was about to go off the fact that it was game doesn't make it the game's fault he shouldn't have been in that state to begin with. like so many problems the issue is mental health which is something that is running rampant in western society's (enjoy my grammar )

Demoninations are a simple way of saying I disagree with The Bible and I like how I think and so I made my own faction of beliefs However! Having differentiating ideas and beliefs can be beneficial if the goal is to reach the ultimate gospel and teaching of The Bible and of Christ. Beliefs should not limit you, they should lead to stronger, more foundational understanding and knowledge.. I only choose Protestant if I have too, otherwise I just say I am a follower of Christ. I join discords all the time where people are like asking if they are allowed to do simple ordinary things XD Also it is quite beneficial to play games! Mammals learn through playing. When I played MMORPG games I knew so many army ranks and types of fish I also scored 168 in visualization which is extraordinary genius and I figure that was because I was the best sniper in Call of Duty across all of North America. But beheading yourself for losing a game is well.. not very effective if your goal is to win :/

No, I am talking about art that does not serve a utilitarian purpose. A painting, a movie, sculpture, music, fiction books. If you were to ban all these forms of art and entertainment because they serve no purpose other than the same purpose which a video game serves, to delight the senses, then we would be living in a boring soulless world. Banning these things because they inspire certain unhinged people to do evil things robs the majority of sane people of the enjoyment of these things. This is Puritanism plain and simple. Also video game designers are a job that people do to make a living as well. A painting, a movie, sculptor, and music can all teach Christianity. I love Christian music for one and some people find Jesus through Christian radios where they sing and stuff. And movies help spread it to adults and children. I watched lots of Christian stuff for kids when young. Like birth of Jesus and so on. And paintings or drawings in kid's bibles help the kids better understand Christianity. All these are careers of art. And that's what God entended them to be used for with any gifts we may have in spreading the gospel. And video games have the potential to do the same bloody thing. Also, are you truly in favor of banning all art and entertainment that doesn't spread Christianity? That is a very extreme, authoritarian, and ignorant position to take and you could never convince me to agree because that kind of mindset is exactly what is leading to the decline of Christianity, these authoritarian, theocratic types of edicts.

What's the actual difference?

Guys just love games too much so my perspective won't make sense Well yeah in the 1980s. Now it's just as common as sport competitions and many adults play it for fun along with the kids.
