What about simple games like family feud or wheel of fortune or jeopardy? This are strategy and logic games which only work to make you smarter by exercising your brain. It's the more you play the more you get smarter kind of thing. So will keep a person playing to get smarter if they care about that. Here's a list of some of these games. I play sudoku a lot which is one they mentioned. www.businessinsider.com/brain-games-make-you-smarterBut shouldn't be harmful for people since it's like a self help game. Shrug But....if people bring money into it then sure some might get mad and kill someone if they didn't win the money. But money games shouldn't be played. It's basically like gambling. Mine is pacifist. It's not going anywhere! And it isn’t as if atheism doesn’t result in people killed either, so let’s abolish that while we’re abolishing everything Yes, but since this is earth. The most decent it can be for earth status is if it had agnostic, atheist, and relgious people who don't harm themesrlves or others over personal beliefs. Which is kind of where I was going with on religion to @romeo

I am not against your religion thing. I was saying at least 90% of Christian denominations should disappear since they're harmful and many other religions. Would be nice if only one religion existed that didn't harm anyone. But that kid isn't the only one. Lone Wanderer made a thread once than someone shot someone over a video game. People take this too seriously. It's like with gambling. With such games if things go wrong it is deadly. Of course it will continue...of course the games are guilty. But in the world there are many dangerous objects and they are not prohibited...like politics..because of the politics of war..people are dying. the policy must be deleted! Yes, this is why I stay away from politics too. It's harmful.

To play computer games, a computer is required.
Computers are guilty.
Ban computers.

Such incidents have nothing to do with video games. If you want to know why that kid beheaded himself, you should look for other evidences in his life.

Such incidents have nothing to do with video games. If you want to know why that kid beheaded himself, you should look for other evidences in his life. What we found out. A shocking story happened yesterday in the village of Mogochino, Tomsk region, where 15-year-old Pavlik lost his life in a very extravagant way. As the interlocutor told me, about 8 mornings the school student left to the yard, got a chainsaw and literally cut off to himself the head. He didn't live to see his birthday for a few days. Pasha grew up without a father's upbringing, but to call the family a dysfunctional language will not turn. Mother tried to provide her beloved son with all necessary. Including bought the boy a computer for which he spent a lot of time. The interlocutor added that this hobby ruined Pasha. His nerves could not stand after another game. The deal has already been confirmed by the discovery of the mutilated body of a teenager. A criminal case was opened under the article "Incitement to suicide". www.yaplakal.com/forum1/topic1837366.html

And omg, a chainsaw? this is obviously more than video games, I've lost hundreds of games in my life but to go as far as to think of chopping my head with a chain is so edgy cringy for me.

A lot of video games are pretty violent/a complete waste of time though and some can teach kids some pretty bad stuff; a lot of parents don't check the age recommendation on the games, but then that goes back to the responsibility of the parents to keep an eye on what they're exposing their kids to. In this particular instance, his mother gave him a computer with video games to make him happy but obviously that didn't help. It seems more like there was a lack of communication between his mother and him, and something/someone else out of sight might have influenced him to kill himself, but at the same time we don't know what game he was playing.

I think it's odd though especially if they're married and have kids and still playing then. But that's my opinion.

It is another topic if you want to talk about Christianity, but it is the same topic if you pay attention to the analogy and relate it to your "I'm against video games, because a kid beheaded himself after he lost". Yes. So since video games can cause harm to children they shouldn't play them. Likewise, any religions that are for suicide or murder shouldn't be one someone should follow. It applies to everything. I know that touching fire will burn me so I don't touch it. I know that not using knifes other than for food will get you hurt. Accidents can happen of course. I have a scar from a knife from cutting food but my brother interfered wanting the knife and knife ended cutting me. So obviously, all knifes should be banned then? I think I said this in the last thread like this, but you can't just say something is bad because of an abnormal deviation from the standard. Besides that, I doubt this happened just because of a video game. There had to have been some kind of affliction, or mental health issues leading to this. People don't just cut their heads off. If we banned everything that led to suicides, people would find new reasons and ways to kill themselves. Suicides have been happening since the beginning.

Knives are used for cutting food as scissors are used for cutting paper. They're tools for living.
