I want a moral non-racist religion. What are my options? I see only traditional Anabaptism and Islam. Islam seems like a better fit for me as an Old Testament follower. By converting, I would finally be part of a religious community. So should I convert?

Only Orthodox Christianity is not racist! Why?Because it is necessary only to deal with their passions and vices and to live in prayer and fasting... absolutely ignore the racial or cultural origin of the person. Only a spiritual reality!

Yes Orthodox Christianity is not racist. But here in America it lacks the strength to defend morality. One point I keep mentioning is the lack of separation of the sexes. But I was active in Greek Orthodox church and I know all of its dirty secrets. An old lady died and left her money to the church. The priest conspired with the church board to steal the money. That's Christianity in America. No thanks.

Anabaptist is great actually. Minus some Mennonite churches which allow women in church leadership roles.

Anabaptism, like all Protestantism, does not understand the essence of the old Testament..therefore, full of speculation..

By converting, I would finally be part of a religious community. So should I convert? why do u feel the need to opt for a religion? one is far more moral without , since u asked about Islam, perhaps i could give the best info as being a former muslim . U wont find the true essence of Islam , its corrupted a lot . Those u get through arabic translation will make your mind go nuts . I still support the true essence of islam and the real interpretation but its base as what is preached that its a book of God and revelation crap i dont associate with it , but inside lyes really good stuff which u wont ever be able to know . Even the early scholars of Islam didnt wanted to disclose teachings of Islam, not to keep it secretive but they knew ppl would mess of it as they didnt had the mind capable of it . Today muslims apparently dont have a accepting view in the world so save it .

Why don’t you believe in the legitimacy of the NT?

Then it's not Christianity...seems like a modern liberal misconception! Yup, many Christian denomations are not Christian at all. Christianity in America has largely turned into a religion which is characterized by the believers own satisfaction of believing in god and the word of god but in minimal doses. It’s very common for Christians to drink alcohol, gamble, have tattoos, have piercings, sleep around, swear, and live a very non Christian lifestyle. Most self proclaimed Christians just say they are such do to the belief in Jesus and God, as well as the cherry picked parts of the Bible they can remember. The amount of true Christians to these fake Christians is massively disproportionate.

Islam is a non-racist religion, but I doubt it's completely moral. A verse that kept me from investigate Islam in depth: "And [also prohibited to you are all] married women except those your right hands possess. [This is] the decree of Allah upon you. And lawful to you are [all others] beyond these, [provided] that you seek them [in marriage] with [gifts from] your property, desiring chastity, not unlawful intercourse. So for whatever you enjoy [of marriage] from them, give them their due compensation as an obligation. And there is no blame upon you for what you mutually agree to beyond the obligation. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise." Surah An-Nisa [4:24] The meaning of "Those your right hand possess" is "Those you acquire through war".

You follow a religious belief because you believe it to be true not so can have a bunch of arbitrary moral laws foisted upon you. Its the same problem as those people who worship Odin and the Norse gods to honor their ancestors, they miss the entire point, because ODIN IS NOT REAL. There are no Norse gods, Greek gods, or Celtic gods so I am not a pagan. I follow Christianity because I believe that God is real, that Jesus is his son, and that what is said in the Bible is an accurate description of reality. If God was not real, I would not follow him, but through certain experiences that have happened to me in my life I know that he is real. Islam is a religion founded by a charlatan who raped people, murdered innocents, and was probably a very insane and disturbed human being. Islam is not real; the Quran is a book of lies. Follow what you believe to be true.

You've no idea how many times people told me they're Christian and I mention a bible story and they look at me like, " What? We have to read the bible?"

There are some crazy verses like that. Did you look into more religions as well? I try to to be able to understand more of what others believe but haven't gotten too far.
