I think that Freedom - is a key to any other goods. With no freedom there cannot be any talks about anything. No free - no nothing.
So, what do you think about freedom today? How our neighbours, our friends, our foes, and other ones live now - with more or less free?
Having these new devices iphones, ihelicopters, or ipc's do you feel more free? Or you feel like you're being trapped into a birdcage? Think and tink.

In order to answer the question about these new devices [and about old ones], one must define FREEDOM first -- which is not easy at all, even though we have a general sense about it. I agree that freedom is fundamental and a prerequisite for other goods, and indirectly you raise the issue about "being free and feeling to be free".Yes, think ....

Ok, joustos this requirement is important, I agree. But this time I didn't mean anything so philosophical. Instead I want to discuss it, or to asked how had it changed, and so on. I guess sometimes the devices become so nasty, because on one hand we must use them (paying taxes, or phoning 2 someone), and these devil's sons eat all our time. But how? – By killing as our no-devices wishes so our worshipping them. The first is – it doesn't seem that today someone can think as if there is no devices. We got used to them too closely. Another point us carrying about them: upgrading them, buying accessories, so on. Instead we might buy toys tp our kids or spending more time with kids outside or in zoos. Even if the devices are not so vicious, they change our schedule by transforming the society itself to one digital mechanism. As it was said in Fritz Lang's film "Metropolis" (1927)

Unfortunately you're right. But I don't see it as OK. The need to always watch and guard someone doesn't make me free. It is what make me care all the time about different things. Of course, it might give me more free, than having numbers of vicious ones walking streets day and night.

Once those with criminal tendencies are terrified of giving in to them, they won't need to be watched.

Modern scum hate freedom. So what is there to discuss? Actually, I didn't talk about the discussion. You've uttered your opinion. That was my topic was about. Thanks.

Modern scum hate freedom. So what is there to discuss? I suppose that the thread-issue is whether Freedom is what is most wanted by ANY human being. I agree with you that this is not the case and add that "older scum" also hates freedom... or does not want freedom at all. Positively speaking: those who want to be fed and housed, who are incapable of doing anything for themselves, who want to be dependent on others, have an innate slave mentality and prove that it is false that the most wanted by ANY human being is freedom. Unfortunately it's not the case that all men are created equal, or have evolved equally from their infantile stage of helplessness.

Well I don't think life is simple enough to render down to just 1 most important thing But if I had to pick it wouldn't be freedom because we hardly care about freedom and that's made obvious in society just look at how we freely give up are freedom on a daily basis Now if I had to pick just 1 thing I think I would pick purpose because someone with purpose can justify sorrow justify happiness justify struggle and justify relaxation you can justify anything so long as you have a purpose Depression often times is when a person feels like they lost their purpose in life But even then all reasons are interwoven together so to single one out is to simplify something that can't be simplified properly

I don't agree working people are necessary so careless, light-minded and simple to enslave themselves and to completely be ruined. No I am sure they reckon to get the freedom after making some payments to the companies. And only when a person is completely despair and done he might give up,a and wouldn't it be similar to accept the death? If a person is strong enough, none obstacles – jobs, friends, ideologies – cannot stop his thirsty for freedom. Maybe he may turn into a crime or into an outlaw, but this perhaps could be much better way to access the freedom. If today there are almost no people which are hungry for freedom – this means only that there are no human being left at all, only the robots and the moving mechanisms.

Everyone ceases to accept denying of any ghosty presence perspectives of the unlitame importance of the will. What does that even mean? This means that even now you (me, and anyone else) are not willing to stop pursuing the freedom, or I'd better say, trying to release the chains of dependence or subjection of dark or nescience. – Haven't you recently tried to ask me about some ambiguity of my previous phrase? ( That phase might not have no sense. It doesn't mean a person to stop investigate the reality. My opinion is – the dead end of any attempts to approach the freedom is death itself. Only having lost own's life the process of gaining freedom stops.
