I know nothing about Mac. How are they sabotaging Microsoft?

They send in moles that write really bad code, and thus make windows unusable and increasingly slow and buggy. There is no way that anyone could write code as bad as windows 10 without intending to make it bad. Its clearly deliberately being sabotaged like that.

I assume you're referring to that your animations ran more slowly in Windows 10, as compared to the Windows version you used before. This is beyond my level of knowledge to have a qualified opinion about. I dislike the forced updates of Windows 10, all the bloat (unnecessary software), the whole menu system, and that it overall seems slower than Windows 7. -Except for that it's startup time is a bit quicker. All of these factors are a result of Microsoft basically giving the finger to the consciously aware among its user base. -And that has an increasing number flock to Linux, as a result. I would never have considered trying out Linux seriously if Windows 7 hadn't expired soon. -And I was positively surprised by that it took me only about a month to conclude that a transition from Windows to Linux was viable. -Partly because a lot of Windows software and games work well in Linux, partly because Linux offers great alternative to some of the Windows software I use, and lastly because some things are actually easier in Linux. I once took a hard drive with Linux installed from one computer to another, and everything worked without a hickup. Try that with a Windows installation.

I write pretty heavy number crunching algorithms that are now 10x slower in windows 10 than in windows xp. They should called it Windows 10x slower! I am currently ranked #1 out of 3million+ for "binary orbit software" and 2nd for "relativity orbit software" at google. My current project is now moving at a snails pace: a 3d-n-body-gravity simulation of the solar system including the very subtle "perihelion precession" of Mercury's orbit. I'll only be able to try linux after this current process is complete. But I am worried about its virus protection. After all, the Mac guys are likely to attack that aspect of it.

I'm sure you know this already, but Linux does offer anti-virus software. As it's becoming more popular, I'm sure it will also be increasingly targeted with viruses, especially through Windows compatibility layers, such as Wine. Ransomware for Windows installed in Wine, that is tweaked to recognise the Wine environment, could, for example, encrypt files on a Linux computer. I don't know whether this has ever happened, but an increasing threat from malicious software would also have the Linux programmers develop more and better software to deal with it. But nothing is safe. As a hacker once put it: If you want to make sure that your computer is safe, you can bury it down in your garden.
I didn't understand what it meant when you stated that you're ranked first at google. Is it some official list where the quality of different programmers work is evaluated?

Windows 10 = Service-based, forced updates, and control freak
Windows 7 was the pinnacle of Microsoft. As this guy mentions, now Microsoft forces people to abandon Windows and switch to other OSs. Windows 8.1 is very OK in comparison with 10.

I have Windows 8.1 on an old laptop and it's not the worst operative system I've tried. But it will expire in 2023, after which I will install Linux on it. Here's a tool for removing telemetry from Windows 8:

Last thing I read on that subject was that Microsoft wouldn't release new versions of Windows, as they did in the past, but just continue to develop Windows 10.
They are fully aware of all the criticism and have just decided to dig in their heals, as if the company has some kind of subconscious death wish. I presume that they consciously try to rationalise by seeing their 80% market share as a monopoly that allows them to ram their crappy policies down people's throats. Many people are stuck due to having used Windows all their lives, and moving from one operative system to another is not straightforward. On the other hand, Windows 10 is a dealbreaker to many. So what one basically have is the unstoppable force meeting the impenetrable wall, and something has to give. So those who are in the "never Windows 10" - camp employ different strategies to avoid it. Some insist on continuing to use Windows 7 after it's ceased to receive security updates. Some stick to Windows 8.1, and might continue to use that after it expires in 2023. Some even continue to use Windows XP. Maybe a few will go over to using Mac, but my prediction is that Linux is in the ascendant. Linux still has only 2% market share, but that is twice of what it had 10 years ago. What is required for Linux to go mainstream is that there are Linux version that look and feel more like Windows. The closest to that now is Linux Mint, using what's called the Cinnamon desktop environment. However, the transition is still not smooth, but I'm hoping that will change in the coming years.

Well you asked what was running slowly, like animations, so I answered what I am working on, and why it needs processing speed more than any other feature. Windows 10 number-crunches at 10% of XP, and I am still trying to ascertain to what extent this is due to its antivirus, and whether Linux is going to be any better before I take the dive and find I am no better off. Google is an objective assessment of one's ability to write functional algorithms as well as error-free web-sites, but even more vitally, to assess and deconstruct their ranking algorithm. I cannot think of a more objective assessment of programming than google, and they are rigorously cut-throat when it comes to algorithms of this nature, of which there are far fewer than most realize. Official lists are normally subjective and based on greasy-palms as well as other queer considerations.

There's no windows 11 yet or anything better? Officially they claim that their worst ever product is their final product which will only ever be updated ad hoc. Though realistically, I doubt that this is true because win10 is just too backward with its absolute nonsense compulsive updating, which I can assure you is 99%+ spam that serves only to put money in the hands of corruption. But I wonder of it might be the antivirus which is eating all the power of the processor? Have all the good programmers died or given up the game? Or have they just been elbowed out by the mob? I still reckon whenever there is a crime, its all about the prime motive, and whoever has the most to gain has got to be the chief culprit: MAC.
