Hello! My MtDNA is W4. Does anyone know anything about it? Do you consider yourself a natural Greek?

The geographic distribution of haplogroup W suggests at a strong correlation with the historical population movements of Y-haplogroup R1a, the Balto-Slavic and Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European speakers.

Yes i do consider my self as natural Greek. My family roots go deeply back in Greece. Ofcourse, thousands years ago people came to Europe and also to Greece from Asia or Africa. All Europeans have an Asian or African past through the thousands of years of the past.

Hello! My MtDNA is W4. Does anyone know anything about it? haplogroup.org/mtdna/rsrs/l123456/l23456/l2346/l346/l34/l3/n/n2/w/w4/There are many W4 subclades. Most common north-european is found in Scandinavia (same as British Isles) though there are another subclades in Anatolia, Russia, India and Western Europe. Have you upload your raw data to dna.jameslick.com? There can gess your subclade

My mtDNA haplogroup is U3a1c1. It's a minor subclade common in Gaelic Scotland and Western Ireland though also in Northern Portugal. It was thinked that was a late neolithic U3a1 subclade that reached Western Europe though recently it was discovered in Western Africa and 2 matches from Lebanon and Israel, it seems that spread by sea during Bronze Age

Excuse my opinions, but wtf? It's just a test people do to find their mtDNA (mitochondrial DNA) that is passed from a mother to her child. The men do receive mitochondrial DNA from their mother but do not pass it on to their children.

yes but what do people actually do with it in the real world? Well, those who are interested it helps you find out where your ancient ancestors originated. The thing is, my calculations show the every human must have shared a common ancestor only as far back as 1500 years. I am quite aware of the mitochondrial eve claims, but I suspect that it is really esoteric sophistry without any real foundation. That is why I had the thread about asking people to prove DNA/gene theory to me. But as I expected, there were no takers. Only 1 person who was just as skeptical as me. You see, my prime thesis is on the scientific method and ethics, so it is my honor-bound duty to sniff out every potentially bogus study for what it is. This obviously earns me some enemies. But any serious scientist should relish the opportunity to prove the worth of their thesis. The real acid-test, being, 'what is it used for?' If this cannot be answered, then my interest is certainly piqued.
