The Eye of Providence (or the all-seeing eye of God) is a symbol showing an eye often surrounded by rays of light or a glory and usually enclosed by a triangle. It represents the eye of God watching over humanity (or divine providence)!
This is a very ancient sign that symbolizes that God is watching us.. As it is known the enemy of God is posing as him so sometimes he can take the symbols of God and pass them off as his symbols! "Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy" (PS. 32: 18.)
In any case, in Orthodoxy, this sign is considered to be non-canonical and was very popular in the 17-18 centuries because at that time mankind imagined God on the basis of this Psalm. Masons(17-19 century) known to recruit people from Christianity, and the Freemasons posing as Christians so they took this sign as his. Also the churches that built masons or visited them can have this symbol. But as mentioned above, this can be treated in different ways! The most typical Masonic symbol:For masons eye characteristic also with a pyramid or with a compass!About masons! And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light, and therefore it is no great thing if his Ministers also be transformed as the Ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2 Cor. 11:14.
Also a symbol of a cross does not always mean Christianity! For example:Scientology Cross!Teutonic Cross Masonic cross! As we see even anti (pseudo)Christian organizations use this symbol..but that's no reason to ban this symbol!
There's also the sign of the Swastika that many associate with Nazism..
In North America, the swastika is found in archaeological materials of Mississippi culture and dates back to 1000-1550 years ad. the Proof of the antiquity of the symbol there are finds in the mountains of Hopwell (Ross County, Ohio) and Toko (Monroe County, Tennessee): thin copper swastikas with a hole in the middle, cast at least 2000 years ago. In the colonial and modern period, the symbol of the swastika is known in most Indian peoples of North America. The exceptions are the Pacific, Alaska and Northern Canada. In South America, there is a swastika ornament in the decorative arts presumably VII-IX century of the Nazca period in Peru. The swastika was considered to be an ancient symbol of the Central American Gong Indians and used it on the flag when creating the Republic of Tula. In pre-Columbian America, the swastika was considered the emblem of The sun God, so the image of a bird with a swastika on its chest, like a bird with a cross, was interpreted in the bronze age as a symbol of the solar deity or as a "thunder bird". According to A. Golan, in the aspect of beliefs of the early agricultural religion, this image and swastika should be interpreted as the God of the underworld, who rose into the sky.

Yup, I also heard the peace sign was originally used as a satanic thing. Luckily, peace signs never attracted me No way... It's known that this symbol could be used as satanic symbol, but if you use it just in your own style, in your own way - there's nothing bad in it. For example, we use many words, but some of these words can have been founded in some weird cultures, or cults. Or any other signs elsewhere in the I-net. So, I think it's no bad to use this symbol for peace, isn't it? I rather not personally to not give others the wrong idea. I heard some satanics find it funny that Christians who worship God use their satanic symbols. I don't use any but satanic people laugh at the "godly" ones thinking they're nuts to do so. Shrug

Elizabeth, don't trust those satanic bad people, trust good satanic people as AmericanCharm. What if all of Arktos participants appeared in an island, and what if they had to chose - to die, or to become friends; else way - if Arktos participants didn't become friends, or at least one of them would die. I think no one wants to find himself in such situation, but if we were more smart, we would do it in mind. I mean the humanity is in front of the big problem of their existence, but they keep beating, annihilating, accusing, blaming, hitting, posing, pestering, annoying, killing, exterminating, and pushing down one another. 75 years of our life is about 25 000 of days. 7 500 of days at least we're spending on our sleep. Else 7 500 we're spending on not really needed one things (cleaning teeth, doing morning exercises, walking, running, fitnessing, eating, etc.). So, there's only 10 000 days left. I can say that I've been happening in my life during 25-30 days only. And I'm glad of this result. I was asking myself: what if I was born a little tiny ooze, and I spent just a two minutes here on Earth (length of my life would be just two minutes)?.. I think that I should be thankful to the Creator for even that form of life. Even, when I was happy. What was I doing then?.. Only really good things that I can explain of that time that I had feelings, and I was with her. So, just being with her... But why am I pointing on this? What do I want to underline? I want to say that we can erase/delete all human-to-human features in our daily life to get something real (I mean, any human happiness is just human happiness, not ours. Yes, we're humans, but I think that none of us agrees on it, because each of us thinks himself a something, a unique.). Taking pleasure as a human being can be the very same as taking any other pleasure as being a monkey. So, if I were a leech, and I was sucking someone's blood I would be as satisfied as a man who had been released from some pain by the leech (medical cure with using leeches). Generally speaking, all the best to you, Elizabeth!
